Low condition gas tanks have less container capacity and may leak fuel.
A gas tank is an item forming part of a vehicle, and can be found in three different sizes, small, standard and big.
Usage
A gas tank is a part required for a vehicle to function. It stores the vehicle's fuel and can only be refueled when it's fitted on the vehicle.
Installing/Uninstalling
To uninstall a gas tank, it must first be emptied of any fuel, then uninstalled with a screwdriver and wrench. Each level of mechanics will decrease the chance of causing damage and increase the chance of success. Each vehicle has a different recommended level, which will result in no damage and a 100% chance of success.
The recommended mechanics level and whether the recipe must be learned for each vehicle is listed below. Vehicles not listed have a recommended skill of 5 and don't require the recipe to be learned.

It is not possible to mix types of vehicle parts. For example, a standard class gas tank cannot be fitted onto a sport vehicle.
Condition
The condition of a gas tank determines its maximum capacity. Therefore, fuel tanks with lower condition will have lower capacity. A lower condition will also increase the possibility of fuel to leak from the gas tank. A gas tank has a very high chance to reduce its condition when bumping zombies by a trunk.
A gas tank can be repaired with Metal Sheets or Small Metal Sheets and a Propane Torch once it's removed from the vehicle. However, it might be a better idea to find a bigger gas tank and replace the damaged tank entirely if it's severely damaged. Gas tanks can be repaired at Metalworking 3 and Mechanics 2 without possibility of damage.
