Unlike zombies, the player needs to sleep. When you need to sleep when the sleep moodle pops up on screen.
To sleep you need to find a bed and left click on it. This will cause time to fast forward while you rest. Failing to sleep while the moodle is on screen will cause healing to be less effective.
