Small Bird Meat is a perishable food item that goes bad as time passes.

Small Bird Meat is created by skinning a dead bird which has been caught in a trap via trapping, via a bird trap. Small Bird Meat takes two in-game days to go stale, and four in-game days to rot.

Just as a note, the nutritional values for hunger you get from dead birds depends on how big the bird is. The figures below are based on a bird providing -15 hunger.
