Looking for coordinates of items

You can't look for coordinates of items, these are all randomly generated each time a cell is first visited, or when rerolleed if the respawn is on in sandbox/multiplayer. The LootZed in debug mode is there to help visualizing the loot from the text files.

logos question

Hi! I looked a bit in the game files, and somewhere in there were the tiles - might have been in the map editor? need to check at home. Either way, there was essentially the logos of all stores, usually cropped into three or four pieces, and I fiddled them together in GIMP. From the top of my head I don't remember if I projected them afterwards, or if they were already front-facing. I can check if I still have the files once I'm home. Is that remotely helpful? /Pohly Oh also, I think I drew over the GIMP file in Inkscape in order to make it vector graphics. There is some "find boundaries" feature in Inkscape that essentially draws the complete outline, then I just had to fill the colors from the original correctly. /P PS: Found the files on my work computer. The ingame-graphics are rotated, I projected them within GIMP, then made a vector outline in Inkscape.

thank you. i have been adding all the logos from the game files as rotated.
for example:

you wrote:
"I projected them within GIMP, then made a vector outline in Inkscape." what is a vector outline, is that how they appear flat? Ikip (talk) 18:31, 2 October 2023 (BST)

I think I see what you mean. No, so, the "flatness" comes from essentially "projecting" the logo in GIMP / Photoshop. You take the logo and essentially try to "skew" it until it looks roughly right. I did this more or less by hand and until I felt it was right.

The vector part is only because the game-files didn't have a great resolution as far as I could see. The vector outline is done in Inkscape, as a result it converts the pixelated image into a scalable vector graphics that can be enlarged to your hearts desire. I then save a higher-resolution PNG which is what is uploaded to the wiki. Would it help you if I made a video tutorial? /P

yes thank you! that would be very helpful. I appreciate your time. Ikip (talk) 19:42, 2 October 2023 (BST)
So I've tried to make a screen recording - Link to video (remove the whitespace before .be) : https://youtu .be/29ZULSS6gvk - I don't know if this is helpful but it's an attempt. If anything is unclear don't hesitate to ask. I haven't done the inkscape step because it might be over the top, and is somewhat difficult for the example you posted. I can make another video about that if you feel you want to try that as well. --Pohly (talk) 08:50, 3 October 2023 (BST)
Zomboid Wiki - Straightening signs GIMP Tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29ZULSS6gvk brilliant! thank you! very informative! Ikip (talk) 21:34, 3 October 2023 (BST)
I shared your video with both admins and another user. thanks! Very useful! Ikip (talk) 21:43, 3 October 2023 (BST)
Glad it's helpful! I took the liberty of uploading that version to replace the old one. Again, let me know if you want to do Inkscape - I found that it's maybe not necessary to do that every time, unless you're the perfectionist type *cough*. And yes, of course it can be shared. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with ;-) --Pohly (talk) 21:46, 3 October 2023 (BST)

do you know How do you find and extract these logo's? Ikip (talk) 14:08, 19 September 2023 (BST)

It's User:Vaileasys who did that, not 100% sure if they can be extracted as such, or if they need some graphic manipulation based on Tiles images that can be extracted from TileZed and then merged (I did it in GIMP). Gonna ask him on Discord and will let you know! —Faalagorn/ 08:20, 20 September 2023 (BST)
I found the file as a tshirt logo in the files.
I would be very interested in GIMP. Any suggestions how to use it for a newbie?
I have downloaded TileZed but I didn't know how to use it.

Where is the map and all of the tiles in the game to find in tilezed? I dont understand how this program works, thanks in advance.Ikip (talk) 12:15, 20 September 2023 (BST)
I found some of the signs, in tilezed.

how to unpack .pack files

I've built a tool to easily unpack and manage all the textures in Zomboid's .pack files.

Location of textures in pack files

media >> texturepacks

How do I take these signs and combine them into an image i can screenshot? Ikip (talk) 12:48, 20 September 2023 (BST)

Finding items in game

This should probably be added to debug mode, LootZed is a fairly recent tool, added in build 41.71, so it could be useful. —Faalagorn/ 18:24, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

Added glitch in game

Not sure where else to add this photo at the cemetery, we dont have glitch photo page. Ikip (talk) 13:23, 21 November 2023 (UTC)

Well, it's a glitch, not a debug mode or modding thing. We don't have to have to keep all the screenshots either, when they lose relevance, we could delete them or replace with a better one too. —Faalagorn/ 02:13, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
