Current and future work

Currently I'm leading Spiffo's Construction Crew with a focus on article updates for B41 project. On hold I have Louisville and all the businesses and significant locations within the city boundaries, as part of a big push within Project Locations and Maps.

As a side project I'm working on ways to better automate the wiki and its maintenence. Including scripts and bot work via User:CalvyBot. My repos can be found here.

About me

Personal

I'm from Sydney, Australia (AEDT) where I grew up and spent most of my life. Started playing games in the early 2000s with Goldeneye, Age of Empires, and Medal of Honor. Got my first computer in 2012 and started playing minecraft (A lot of minecraft).

Started getting very into shooters around 2016 but by 2019 realised I preferred games like factorio and satisfactory much better. Practically ditched shooters by 2021 (and somehow picked up league of legends). I had seen a bit about zomboid on YouTube, but instantly wrote it off because of the weird camera angle and graphics.

My mate convinced me to try it in early 2023 and I was hooked. Now I have over 400 hours (almost double his play time). I play very heavily modded, which is one of the reasons I love this game.

My current PZ run

Currently I am Stuart Babb aka The Louisville Liberator, approximately 4 months into a Louisville only run on insane pop where my goal is to exterminate Louisville. It's my first time going into deep winter and seeing snow felt like a kid in a candy store.

Stuart lives in a very large compound in the north west of Louisville (surrounding the maps unlimited) including the large warehouse, wallet factory, gas station, and mechanic.

He's currently at 25,000 kills, the majority with long blade. At 30,000 kills I will release Stuart into Knox Country to become The Knox Knight.

Why I contribute

I recently got into wiki editing on Wikipedia, when I found lots of outdated information about the local economy. I enjoyed the process of finding current well sourced information and updating the page, knowing it will help school projects for years to come. But Wikipedia felt too big to make an impact. At the same time I needed a break from zomboid after an extended play session. Kabam, PZwiki.

Wikis are a vital part of many games especially in depth games and I have used them extensively. It's only fair that I give back to the community.
