Metalworking Guide

Metalworking in Project Zomboid builds some of the more durable fortifications available, and also allows for the creation of weaponary.

However at this time, Version 36.40, the only ability ingame available is the ability to create fortifications, weaponary crafting and smithing are due in a later version.

Basic Equipment Required

The equipment needed for Metalworking are as follows:

• Propane Torch
• Welding Mask
• Welding Rods

If your character did not start as a Metalworker, the following are also required.

• Metalworking Magazines 1-4 (used for fortification construction)
• Smithing Magazines 1-4 (used for weapon construction)

It would also speed up your experience gain in Metalworking if you had the following Skill Books:

• Metalworking for Beginners (Levels 1-2)
• Metalworking for Intermediate (Levels 3-4)
• Advanced Metalworking (Levels 5-6)
• Expert Metalworking (Levels 7-8)
• Master Metalworking (Levels 9-10)
