About me

I am a self-taught amateur coder. I've spent a lot of my youth learning Java while creating mods for Minecraft, beginning in 2011. Since becoming a wiki editor, I've learnt a significant amount about wiki markup, HTML and CSS. I've continued to improve in LUA and have created a few mods for Project Zomboid (currently outdated) along with several private projects. I've been teaching myself Python to assist with automating repetitive and tedious tasks, which can then be used to update content quickly. See my GitHub repos.

I first played Project Zomboid in 2013 and started contributing to the wiki in 2018. Back then, the wiki was frequently considered 'outdated' (most content from 2011) and lacked any consistency. Being a perfectionist, I had to contribute, starting with icons and the items page. At the time I was a science student (Biochemistry), with expertise in research and report writing, which I found to be perfect for a wiki (less jargon; more detail).

These days, I make fewer contributions to page content, as I focus more on the 'behind-the-scenes' content, such as creating and updating templates, leading projects, and helping others on discord (where I frequent).
