Well

Location

The well can be found in various map cells, as well as in the woods near the farms. In both cases, the well is far away from the villas, the suburbs, and the downtown district, and getting to a well would require you to have a base in the farms if you don't want to spend days running to get to a well.

Uses

The well is valuable because it is the only renewable source of water after the water works fails, and faucets don't work (5 days after you start the game), finding a well early on in the game will save you the time you would spend stockpiling dozens of bottles of water. If you want to survive years in the game, finding a well is a must.
