Military Research Facility
Template:Infobox buildingThe Military Research Facility is a former government facility overtaken by the Knox Infection. To access the area, players must traverse through a series of dirt roads located in the large woods west of Rosewood. The facility appears as a large, one-story grey building with satellite dishes at the rear and a smaller two-story building connected to the side. There is also a group of large, non-portable generators attached to the outside of the building.
Interior
The main building of the facility contains one story. The main floor largely consists of several offices, lounges, and storage rooms. There is also an infirmary and what appear to be parts of a laboratory. In the smaller building, there is a storage room and a stairwell that leads up to another office. A dysfunctional elevator can also be found in the southern wing.
Tips
- It is highly recommended that players bring a car and extra supplies due to the long travel distance.
- Upon arriving at the facility, the outer perimeter will most likely have a high concentration of zombies, some of which will be former soldiers.
- Soldier zombies often have highly sought-after loot, examples of which include Military Backpacks and a wide variety of guns.
- It is not recommended for inexperienced players to attempt to loot the facility due to its isolation from the rest of the map and the high concentration of zombies. Even with good preparation, the player can quickly become overwhelmed due to the limited escape options.
Trivia
- Despite the building being a military encampment, there is not a large number of weapons located inside the building. This had led many to speculate that the building may be a research facility or lab.
- Despite the facility having an elevator, there is no second floor in the main building. Due to this, many players believe that the elevator leads to a basement that will be added in a future update.
