Riverside Suites is a hotel located exclusively in Riverside's business district. While there isn't much to actually loot here, it's one of the best places in Riverside to train the carpentry skill. It could also be used as a safehouse in the area.

Interior

The hotel is a large two-story building with many rooms for guests. Be cautious when entering the rooms, as the turned guests may still be inside. Other than the guest rooms, there is a small reception area accessible by the front door near the sign outside. It contains a desk, water cooler, and a small storage closet.

Skill training

While there isn't much here in the way of actual supplies, every room at least contains a bed and wardrobe, with some also containing TVs and other furniture. This makes it a great place to train your Carpentry skill. Most rooms also contain curtains of some sort, which you can either take for yourself or rip them for improvised bandages or scrap fabric to tailor with.

Safehouse potential

While there is a lot of loot nearby, there are serious drawbacks to consider.

There is a large number of windows leading out of the motel, which could provide the player with a quick escape if need be. The motel is a suitable location to spend the night, as it has an upstairs and a number of rooms to sleep in, making it difficult for zombies to stumble upon the player while they're sleeping. Although this is an ideal temporary location, it is not recommended as a permanent safehouse. Barricading this area would take a lot of time and materials, increasing the risk of death.

Pros Cons
  • Very close to multiple high value loot areas which?
  • Staircases can be destroyed with a Sledgehammer to secure the upper floor
  • The furniture can be dismantled for an on-site source of barricades
  • Water access is very close, good for fishing
  • Large amounts of windows makes securing the building difficult
  • Practically impossible to secure the perimeter
  • Cramped nature of the upper floor can spell disaster if zombies make it upstairs
  • Sledgehammer is required to ensure safety
  • Very high zombie population nearby when compared to the suburbs or outskirts
