Sawed-off JS-2000 Shotgun
A ranged Weapons like the Shotgun (disambiguation), the Sawed-Off Shotgun is noisy, and will attract zombies towards the Player.
The Sawed-Off Shotgun acts similar to the standard Shotgun requiring Items to fire, and is capable of taking out numerous zombies at a time, though the Sawed-Off Shotgun fires in a larger cone and as such can potentially take out larger swathes of a zombie horde. This modification does reduce accuracy against smaller targets, however, and is not to be used at range against single zombies. As with the shotgun, its noise gives it limited use, as it can quickly amass a horde at your location. Sawing the shotgun also reduces it's weight significantly.
Good uses are:
1) A quick shot to kill a large group of zombies and give you time to escape.
2) A home-defense weapon, perfect for shooting out of windows if you are completely surrounded and have no way to take out the Z-heads quietly.
3) A safe way to exterminate hostile NPC's (if they happen to group in one place or you just want to attract the horde to "That unlucky guy who didn't follow".)
Obtaining
One obtains the Sawed-Off Shotgun from putting a Shotgun (disambiguation) and Saw in the Crafting Menu.
