Water is a fundamental requirement for long-term survival. Zombies do not need water, or any other necessity that humans and other living creatures need.

Obtaining

Knox County's only water source comes from Faucets, Bathtubs, Toilets and Wells. There are no natural sources of water in Knox County.

Players must be holding an empty bottle or other type of water container to hold the water in their inventory, like empty coffee mugs, tea kettles and Cooking Pots. It is obtained by right-clicking the source and selecting "fill <container>".

A player can also temporarily satisfy his or her thirst without a container by clicking "drink".

Containers

There are many different containers and each one can hold a different amount of water, measured in arbitrary units which are often referred to as "cups". For example, an Mug holds 1 unit and a Cooking Pot holds 25.

Usage

Mainly serving as a thirst-quencher, water can also be used as a soup ingredient in Cooking Pots or to make Bowls of Ramen Noodles using bowls of water.

Unless used in a crafting recipe, one unit of water negates 10 points of thirst. Thus its better to drink soda or craft with water if it is in low amounts.

In Farming, water is required to grow plants.
