The West Maple Country Club is a country club and social center located on the outskirts of Riverside. The club had many amenities for its members, including food, a swimming pool, a horse racing track, and a golf course. The area is swarming with zombies, but there is some decent loot to be found if the player can clear the area. There are also some large two-story homes nearby. The area is blocked by a security gate that the player can smash with a vehicle to gain access.

Different areas

There are five separate buildings or themed areas that comprise the club grounds.

Social center

The largest building is a large social center, complete with a large atrium with a piano, two basketball courts, and a cafeteria and kitchen. There is also a storage room, several locker rooms, and two large bathrooms on the first floor. The second floor, accessible through the atrium and the lobby, mainly consists of a large common room with a small food vending area and kitchen. It connects to several meeting rooms, small offices, and private bedrooms. These rooms contain MASSIVE amounts of wooden furniture, which can be great for leveling the player's Carpentry skill.

Near the swimming pool, there is a storage room that can contain some weapons, tools, and cleaning supplies.

There are two large parking lots outside that spawn a good amount of vehicles, as well as a smaller one some distance away.

Equestrian area

West of the social center, there is a small building that acts as a smaller version of the main center. Much of the same amenities can be found, including dining areas, a kitchen, a lounge, and a small bar on the first floor. The second floor, accessible through a staircase in the middle of the building, mainly consists of locker rooms and communal showers and bathroom facilities.

There are three horse racing tracks, one indoor and two outdoors, as well as stables where the horses were presumably kept between events. There are also some water collector barrels outside these stables that the placer can take for themselves. There is also a small barn, as well as spectator stands near the outdoor horse tracks that have lots of furniture that can be dismantled.

Service/storage area

There is a small path leading away from the social center. If the player takes this path, and move down at the fork, there are a few small buildings that contain some hardware and tools. There are double tile dumpsters in the back for garbage bags.

Golf course

The aforementioned path leads to a golf course, which has lots of trees to chop down, and is a great area for Foraging. There is also a small dining building along the path.

Wealthy homes

There is a small community of large, two-story houses, accessible by road if immediately turning right after entering past the security checkpoint. The homes have garages that can spawn tools and hardware such as Propane Torches and other metalworking supplies. Their kitchens also spawn an abundance of canned food, cooking supplies, and can also spawn box of sparklers for Engineers to make aerosol bombs.

Strategy

While the loot-to-zombie ratio is a bit low, the large amount of zombies can be great for leveling up the player combat skills, or if the player wants to watch a live barbecue of deadheads.

  • Be sure to bring a flashlight and one-handed weapon to navigate the buildings if the power shuts down before the player arrives.
  • An emergency vehicle can be used to draw the zombies out of the buildings, as there are many open areas to dispatch hordes in.
  • It is possible to hotwire one of the many cars that can be found in the parking lot, which the player can then use as a battering ram to dispatch large groups. Just watch the windows...
  • Be sure to bring some backup weapons, as there are large amounts of zombies to kill.
  • Similar to the Kentucky State Prison, cramped hallways combined with a large zombie population can spell disaster. The player has to make sure to shut the doors behind and watch the back.
  • In times of desperation, the player can smash alcohol bottles from the bar if they've exhausted all possible options.
  • If the player is only looking for loot, skipping everything else and heading straight for the wealthy homes nearby might be the best option.
