Cities of the World - Seoul is a unique VHS providing some lore about South Korea's capital Seoul.

Overview

The player can reduce boredom by -5 for each line of dialog when in the vicinity of a television playing the VHS.

The VHS can be used with an appropriate television to play the monologue of a documentary narrator sharing facts about Seoul. This documentary VHS can be watched to understand the city's history, development, economics and much more.

The area around Seoul's Han River has been settled since 4000 BC.

During the centuries of Joseon rule, the gates in Seoul's walls...
...were closed each day, accompanied by the ringing of the bells at Bosingak belfry.
Seoul, along with the entire Korean peninsula, was annexed by
...the Japanese Empire in 1910. The Japanese occupation lasted until 1945.
Seoul was heavily damaged by the Korean War of 1950 to '53...
...and the capital was temporarily moved to Busan.
Following the partition of Korea in 1953, Seoul became the capital of South Korea.
Today, Seoul is a booming technological center, and hosted the 1988 Olympics.
Its landmarks include Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gyeongdong Market...
...the Seongsan Bridge, and the fashionable Gangnam District.

Effective chance calculations are based off of default 'apocalypse' loot settings, with no luck modifier, and average zombie density. The higher the density of zombies in an area, the higher the effective chance of an item spawning. Chance is also influenced by the lucky and unlucky traits. Duplicate entries do exist, but have been removed for clarity.
