The Louisville Fire Department (LVFD) is a large department within the city of Louisville. Being the largest settlement in Knox Country, there are many locations to regulate the safety of various residential and commercial buildings throughout the area. There are a total of three locations in Louisville.

Headquarters
The headquarters of the LVFD is the largest fire station in the game. It is located in the northeastern part of town, south of The Grand Ohio Mall and north of the Romuald Dron Memorial Park. The main building has a similar layout to the large fire station, having offices and a garage on the first floor while having living quarters on the second floor. Unlike the other stations, the headquarters has a second building directly beside it. This building has a few offices and storage rooms, with a helipad and satellite dishes on the roof. While being slightly outside downtown, its location still makes it practical for looting points of interest. It is also very close to the mall, offering ease of access for any brave survivors who wish to adventure within. The parking lot is mostly fenced off, but the streets are still open to the occasional zombie migration. The population in close proximity to the station is somewhat light, but the occasional large horde migrating from the mall or music festival may present issues to an unprepared player.
Small station
Located in the southeast outskirts of Evergreen Hills, right off a small commercial strip, is a small LVFD station. While not the most impressive building, it may be a good place to set up a base when first entering Louisville. It contains a small two-car garage, a locker room, and living quarters. The backyard is fenced-in, making it a good place for a farm. The second floor also provides easy access to the roof, making it ideal for rain collectors or a generator. There is also a hardware store right across the street for all your fortification needs. Due to the outpost being located on the outskirts, the zombie population is easier to manage.
Large station
Another large fire station can be found in the northwest part of town, located in the middle of a large commercial and residential zone. Its size is similar to the Rosewood Fire Department. It contains a large three-car garage with a laundry room and a storage closet. On the first floor, there are also several offices and a workout room. The second floor contains living quarters, a rec room, a kitchen, a locker room, and a medical bay. Its location makes it much more practical for looting downtown, but also much harder to defend from the wandering hordes of undead that patrol central Louisville daily. It also lacks exterior defenses, with all the surrounding roads and parking lots lacking fencing to keep out the zombies.
Loot
All three fire stations spawn with a wide selection of rare and useful loot. Examples of these include:
Food and medical supplies can also be found in most locations, but the outpost does not have a medical bay, so medical supplies will not spawn there.
Tips
- Every location has a garage fortified with red garage doors. These doors will keep your survivor safe if kept in good condition but be warned: zombies are able to spot the player through the windows in the door.
- All locations are at least two stories, giving players an opportunity to make an impenetrable base on the second floor, by using a sheet rope, and destroying the stairs with a sledgehammer.
- Firefighter zombies have the potential to spawn at all three locations. Firefighter zombies may have associated rare weapons or clothing.
Trivia
- The only other fire station on the map beside the ones in Louisville is located in Rosewood.
- The outpost has an antique television while all other fire departments on the map have modern televisions. This implies that the outpost may predate the larger stations in-game.
- Each of the stations covers three of the four corners in Louisville. The only corner that doesn't have a fire station has a burnt-down neighborhood.
- The headquarters building has a green roof. All the other fire stations have gray roofs.
