Who the hell created so many templates for Noodles?! Ravelair 18:38, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
Are item descriptions official?
If they are that's cool. If they aren't then they seem a bit too casual for a wiki unless this is a more relaxed wiki. Is this a relaxed wiki?
- The wiki is still evolving so I would not characterize it as relaxed or any other trait at the moment. There are some Shaun of the Dead-esque, tongue-in-cheek, descriptions which I will let slide (for now) as long as they do not mislead. I do however think people should make sure to add useful information (e.g. how much hunger does an item satisfy). Once I get some code changes in order, and the spam under control, I should have a little more time to address these issues. Pianoman 18:27, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
Okay then I won't reverse other peoples contributions. I was just looking for another way to help out the wiki since I haven't played the new releases much. Thanks for responding and deleting all the spam accounts that pop up ^_^ m1nt3a ◕‿‿◕ 05:05, 28 March 2012 (BST)
Watermelon Slices and Chunks...
Using a Saw on a Watermelon gives 10 Slices, not one. Must be the same for Axe and Kitchen Knives. Not sure about WM Chunks.Vagrant
Can't build structures in 2.0q?
I don't know if you need some sort of requirement to build anything in 2.0q, or how you would gain experience from building them, because I don't want to waste the 50 or so planks I collected only to spend 20 of them to 'learn' how to construct in the next level.
- You should ask these questions on The Indie Stone's forum, not here. Make sure you have a Hammer and Nails when combining Wooden Planks to make structures. Remember that when you Craft, the result box has arrows next to it so you can change which structure you want to build. Vagrant 20:27, 25 April 2012 (BST)
Stationary vs. Stationery
The correct term is stationery unless you are discussing something that is not moving.
- example 1 That zombie is stationary in the middle of the street.
- example 2 I'm going to the office supply store to buy stationery to improve my morale during the zombie apocalypse.

Test templates for crafting guide
- Notes
- "Tool" makes sense because it implies that you will keep that item
- No space for names unless... (See Sandwich idea)
Hmm, kinda ugly. A little better.
- Foods should probably stick to the Recipe/RecipeLookup template formatting
Organizational Questions to Shape Upcoming Changes
Questions to Address:
- Should carpentry creations (aside from Drawer) not be included since they are created through a different game mechanic than inventory crafting?
- Yeah, maybe: Most of the items listed there are built with the hammer's build menu. Drawer, Notched Wooden Plank, Plank, and Sturdy Stick are the exceptions. They would stay. I'm not sure, but I'm leaning towards excluding the non-inventory based stuff. Thoughts anyone? Hemilash (talk) 04:51, 26 August 2014 (BST)
- Should a different template be used/created to address the potential format above? (and can I even do that?
- Or is the current RecipeLookup template flexible enough to use for it?
- No, because if the way the Recipe Template is set up.
- Wait, maybe. If a nested template can be passed as a text string through another template. Test
- It could be used for differently formatted templates, but the question is should it, or should a new template be drafted to preserve the internal formatting (because the RecipeLookup template is f*cking confusing enough)
Actually, it cannot.
- The RecipeLookup Template calls the Recipe Template, and provides expected values. Either that format must be met or a second version of the Recipe AND Recipe Lookup templates must be created.
- Estimated time to complete: Prohibitive.
Roadmap for Edits:
List of additional items to add
List of table categories decided upon - list in #1 will inform this decision.
- Carpentry - 5 items
- Outdoors - 13 items
- Weapons - 5 items
- Tools - 6 items
- Food - tons
- Templates entries created for additional items (this lowers the urgency of having individual pages up for individual items: As long a a way to make it is somewhere on the wiki (here) players can still use that item.
- Consideration for new template types
- Newly templated items added & organized
- Any updates to existing items to bring them up to build 28
- Ridiculously picky spacing changes.
