Tempest is a unique VHS sharing William Shakespeare's The Tempest, specifically from Act IV, Scene 1.

Overview

The player can reduce boredom by -5 for each line of dialog when in the vicinity of a television playing the VHS.

The VHS can be used with an appropriate television to play the monologue of Prospero. In this speech, Prospero muses on how the actors, who were spirits, have vanished into thin air, just as the grand visions they created will dissolve, leaving nothing behind.

Transcript

Prospero:

Our revels now are ended.
These our actors, as I foretold you...
Were all spirits and are melted into air...
... into thin air.
And, like the baseless fabric of this vision...
... the cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces.
The solemn temples, the great globe itself.
Ye all which it inherit, shall dissolve.
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded...
... leave not a rack behind.
We are such stuff as dreams are made on...
... and our little life...
... is rounded with a sleep.

Location

The loot distributions can be found in the table(s) below.

Effective chance calculations are based off of default 'apocalypse' loot settings, with no luck modifier, and average zombie density. The higher the density of zombies in an area, the higher the effective chance of an item spawning. Chance is also influenced by the lucky and unlucky traits. Duplicate entries do exist, but have been removed for clarity.

This VHS will only spawn once and only in living room shelves, making it incredibly rare.
