Current version template

Hi Halkaze,

I've created a template so we can update the game versions on a single page and have it update everywhere, such as all the main pages. Since you're frequently active and basically managing the Japanese wiki, I wanted to hold off on applying it to that main page. If you'd rather update it manually, go ahead, otherwise you can find the template here: Template:Current_version. I'll be adding it to all the other main pages though. If you want me to add it to the Ja. one, let me know. :)

Hi Vaileasys, Thanks for your help and awesome renovation. Save the trouble of editing. will be using it immediately! ^ ^

New Main Page

Hello again Halkaze,

I've been working on a new design for the main page, which is pretty much complete, with just some minor adjustments here and there. We'll be implementing it in about a week. If you'd like to start translating, I've put it into the main page sandbox, however I'll be updating a version I have in one of my sandboxes until it's ready. It uses the previously mentioned {{Current version}} template, and a new {{news}} template, which we'll be updating regularly.

Hi Vaileasys. This designs are super cool and clearly written!! I'll work on it sooooooon :)

Good to hear. I've just made the push, so the main page is now the new one. A couple of important changes since I sent the last message:

EDIT: disregard the news thing. Forgot that the actual 'news' is put on a separated template, so that just contains the headings etc., which can be translated.

Happy translating :D

Templates to improve translating

Hi Halkaze,

I've put together a group of templates that should make translating items and common words/phrases a bit quicker and easier. Essentially, the idea is that you'll be able to just copy and paste the content from an English page to, for example, a Japanese page, automatically translating it. It's specifically intended for item lists, infoboxes, navboxes, crafting recipes and other templates. You will still need to translate the body of the page.

The main template used is {{Translation}}. For Japanese, all translations are stored in Template:Translation/ja. It's not complete, but I've added a few to get it started. If you want to use those translations anywhere, use {{T}}. It will create a link by automatically taking the English word and searching for a translation determined by the subpage name (e.g. /ja).

I'm also in the process of setting up {{Img_item}}, which automatically finds the items icon, name and link (these can be manually set as well) and even translates them (based on stored translations in {{Translation/ja}}).

For an example, see: Items/Medicine/ja

I will eventually add this to the infoboxes, crafting recipes and navboxes. Saving us from having to make a new template for each language.

In general:
When used on a "ja" page
{{T|Bandage}} produces: 包帯
{{Img_item}} produces: 包帯
To only have the translation without the link:
{{Translation|Bandage}} produces: 包帯

Hopefully this all makes sense. Let me know if you need any help with anything.
