ConfirmEdit

Extension:ConfirmEdit does sound like it could be very useful, however there is something holding me back. Mmmicrophone (the admin who hosts the wiki) has been inactive for a while, and only reappeared recently before leaving again. Do you have any ideas for something I might be able to do to help with the problem without having access to the hosting server? DUMBELLS 22:54, 12 January 2012 (UTC)

That might actually be a problem. It seems that MediaWiki requires lots of access to its php-files even just for rights management: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:User_rights I don't think you will be able to properly configure the permissions without access to core files. Is there no way you can get to the files? Not even via FTP or similar? Jhw 12:09, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
