A wall tile is a type of tile used to provide protection. Walls tiles can be constructed by the player using the metalworking or carpentry skills. The wooden correspondents are always made with carpentry, granting experience to the skill, metal wall tiles will always contribute to the metalworking skill.
Wall Frames
There are currently 2 types of wall frames, the wooden wall frame and the metal wall frame, they are both used for further construction, but have different amounts of HP.
Wooden wall frames contribute with 50 HP to the built wall tile, while metal wall frames will contribute with 120 HP.

Strategy
- Main article: Fence
Similar to small fences, wall frames can be used defensively. The player can climb and jump over them the same way they do with small fences, zombies will fall to the ground when trying to climb wall frames. This leaves zombies vulnerable, allowing the player to perform a potentially letal blow. Wall frames do not block vision.
Variants
Walls
Walls are the main type of static defense that player can build. They have lots of HP and entirely block vision.
Log walls, wooden walls and metal walls compose the 3 craftable walls that a player can build.
The wooden wall and metal wall need to be built on a wall frame. The log wall is the only wall that benefits from the handy trait.
Crafting
HP comparison
The total HP of a wall depends on the wall built, the skill level of the builder, the level of the wall, the frame it was built on and if the player has the handy trait in the case of log walls.
The minimum HP a wall can have takes the minimum of the above skills while the opposite is valid for the maximum.
Min - Max Wall HP
Wooden wall: 490 - 920 HP
Log wall: 400 - 1000 HP
Metal wall: 760 - 1070 HP
While log walls have the least starting HP, this is because log walls can be built without any level in carpentry. Log walls, even without the handy trait, will always be better than wooden walls built on wooden wall frames at the same carpentry level.
Strategy
- Main article: Fence
Players can try to climb over walls, by either pressing or holding the key E. This can prove very useful when fleeing from zombies. However, it is important to note that doing so will exhaust the player's character very quickly, and the climbing may not suceed, with the sucess/fail chance being dependant on many factors, such as the player's fitness and strength level, traits, weight and moodles. The player may drop what they are holding on their second hand in order to climb the wall, this happens more frequently with containers.
Variants
Window walls
A window wall tile does not come with a window installed, instead, it has a hole where a window can be installed by the player.
Crafting
HP comparison
Window wall tiles have the same HP than walls. However, it is very difficult for a zombie to target window walls, window walls without a window will have the same functionality as small fences, with zombies completely ignoring the wall HP and throwing themselves over it.
Min - Max Window Wall HP
Wooden window wall: 490 - 920 HP
Metal window wall: 760 - 1070 HP
Strategy
If a window wall has a window, the player will be able to open and close this window as long as it is not barricaded. While open, the player can climb a window like they do with small fences, however, players can't sprint jump a window like they to with small fences.
Window walls with open windows or without one can prove very dangerous to the player, if a zombie spots an unadvised player and paths towards the window wall, the player may not be able to hear or see them ultil they are already inside the building. A broken glass can be used to spot zombies just before they start to enter the building, this happens frequently when looting the neighborhood, as broken windows will drop broken glass on the side they were broken.
Variants
Wooden Doorframe
- Main article: Wooden Doorframe
Wooden doorframes are wall tiles used to hold constructable doors for the player to enter/exit. This allows the player easy access to their structure without risking climbing over a wall, or having an exposed gap for zombies to enter through. Doorframes are not attacked by zombies, but the wooden doors built into them can be destroyed by zombies.
Crafting
Wooden doorframes do not require a wooden frame to be built first. The level of doorframe built is based on the player's carpentry level. It can't be selected by the player.

HP comparison
Unlike most wall tiles, the wooden door frame doesn't come with a metal counterpart. A doorframe HP is very similar to the one of a log wall, having 100 less in all cases.
