Template:User bot

Template Documentation

This userbox displays that the user is a bot instead of a human.

Will add the user to "Bot" category.

Do not use this userbox unless your account is a bot account.

Usage

Syntax

• {{User bot}}

XXX is a bot.

• {{User bot|owner}}

XXX is a bot operated by owner (talk).

• {{User bot|owner|retired=true}}

XXX is a bot operated by owner (talk) but won't be maintained anymore.

Parameters

Add the owner of the bot, which is highly recommended to be filled in so that other users can contact the owner if the bot is malfunctioning.

retired

Mark the bot is retired and won't be maintained anymore.

hidecat

Usually keep it default. If not empty, then it will not add the user to "Bot" category.

How to translate

This template doesn't need to/shouldn't be translated, but you can translate the documentation of this template with the following steps:

1. Create a subpage of this template with the language code of the language you want to translate to.
2. Copy the code wrapped in the <noinclude> tag in this template into the page you created.

   {{Translation guide}} template should be removed from the translated documentation.

3. Translate the page according to the translation requirements of normal pages.
