Template:User contact
This userbox displays how to contact the user on various platforms.
Usage
Syntax

Parameters

Required- The platform to contact the user on. Can be one of the following (ignore case):
discord
forums
steam

- The username of the user on the platform.
link
- The link to the user's profile on the platform. Use this parameter only if the link automatically generated from the username isn't working.
- This parameter won't work if

- To be used whenever a second username is used.
Discord username
Your Discord name should be visible in the bottom left corner when logged to the client and can be copied by left-clicking on it. Keep in mind the ID can be different from your shown username, which can be set independently for each server, please use the actual username as the username for the infobox.
In 2023 a migration of usernames was started to avoid discriminators, previously a 4 digit discriminator was assigned to all usernames, some usernames may still use it, but should be slowly phased out.
Forums username
Forum profiles have ID consisting of numbers assigned to them. You can specify your username, but currently a full link has to be provided as link
.
Steam username
You can specify your custom URL as username
, however if you don't have it set up, a full link to the profile has to be specified as link
.
- Not sure how to find your Steam ID?
- Open up your Steam client or login to Steam on a browser.
- Now go to your Steam profile by hovering over your Steam profile name and clicking "Profile" on the dropdown box.
- Your SteamID will be listed in the URL at the top left if you're using Steam client (it's the really long number at the end).
If you have a custom URL, the number will not be listed. In that case, your SteamID will be what you made it (after: .../id/[SteamID]).
