Template:WeaponsA pencil is a writing implement that can be used to create notes and, in tight spots, as a weapon. The pencil can kill zombies, but doing so will usually exhaust all of its durability; rendering it useless. You cannot write to a Journal or a Notebook without a writing implement.
It can be used with journals and empty notebooks to leave information or messages in Multiplayer servers.
Former Crafting
Formerly, the Pencil could be used to make Doodles and work with Notepads to make Journals, this has since been removed.
