Notebook.pngTemplate Documentation

This template is used to translate links from English to the current article's language (subpage language code). The names are generated based on the title customized with DISPLAYTITLE magic word.

Usage

It is recommended to use this template instead of normal innerwiki links (text) on pages that will be translated into other languages, as it will automatically link to the correct subpage.

Templates have another translate method, so do not use this template on them.

Because pages under Special namespace will be auto-translated by mediawiki, do not use this template on them. e.g. use Special:RecentChanges instead of Special:RecentChanges.

User pages don't need to be translated, so do not use this template on them. e.g. use User:Example instead of User:Example.

Talk pages follow the rules of the corresponding namespace.

Parameters

1 Required
The English word of the link.
