Skills are the learned abilities of your character. The skill level shows how adept your character is at a specific skill. Skill levels can be increased by allocating skill points earned from gaining levels.

Skills are currently divided into the categories Combat, Crafting, Fitness, Strength, and Agility.

List of Skills

Combat

Name Effect
Blunt Blunt is currently your general proficiency with blunt weapons like the (Spiked)Baseball bat, Slegehammer, Pool cue, and Hammer. This can be leveled by hitting a zombie with any blunt weapon.
Blade Blade is currently your general proficiency with blade weapons like the Butterknife, Kitchen Knife, and Axe. This can be leveled by hitting a zombie with any blade weapon.

Crafting

Name Effect
Carpentry Carpentry is used when building a fort. It can be leveled by placing flooring or making walls.
Cooking Used and leveled by making cooked items. Not currently working.

Fitness

Name Effect
Running This represents how fast you will tire from running. Running will level this skill.
Recovery This means how fast you can recover from exhaustion (unconfirmed). It's not known how to increase this skill, although it may be by exhausting yourself

repeatedly.

Swinging This represents how fast you will tire from swinging any weapons. Swinging weapons (not necessarily at zombies) will advance this skill.

Strength

Name Effect
Hauling This represents your general ability to carry things. Walking or running while encumbered will level this skill.
Shoving This is your ability to push zombies away when hitting them with a weapon. Hitting zombies should level this skill, but if someone knows another way to increase this skill, please edit this.
Hitting This represents your general damage per hit with a weapon (un-confirmed). Hitting zombies should level this skill.

Agility

Name Effect
Sprinting This affects how fast you run. This can be leveled from excessive running.
Nimble Nimble lets you move much faster while aiming with no penalty to visibility. AKA fast sneak and fast maneuverability while aiming.

Will ultimately affect things like jumping over fences too.

Lightfooted This is your ability to run or walk quietly. (levels possibly from walking/running near zombies unnoticed)
Sneaking Your general ability to avoid detection. (levels possibly from sneaking (holding ctrl) near zombies unnoticed)
