Wraz z deskami i młotkiem, gwoździe są jednym z najbardziej podstawowych elementów niezbędnych do fortyfikacji bazy. Gwoździe są bardzo powszechne, można je znaleźć w pojemnikach kuchennych, w magazynach oraz w sklepie z narzędziami.Gwoździ używamy w celu postawienia barykady i w celu ufortyfikowania niektórych elementów. Przy każdym użyciu gwoździa, np podczas wzmacniania okien, czy drzwi, automatycznie z ekwipunku będzie zabierany 1 gwóźdź.
