The building is located near the center of the map, south of downtown and east of the Rosewood Police station. The department has a small parking lot and a double-car garage attached to the side of the building. The station's main entrance is located on the front end of the building, but there is a side door connected to the garage on the east side. The station's first floor includes a garage, several supply rooms, a laundry room, a workout room, and a medical bay. On the second floor, there is a lounge, a locker room, a kitchen, and sleeping quarters.

Like all fire stations, the Rosewood Fire Department has a chance of spawning firefighter gear and weapons in many of the rooms. Examples of these include:

There is also a medical bay attached to the garage with medical supplies. The kitchen upstairs has canned food and cooking utensils.

Tips

Once cleared, the building is a popular spot for base-building or looting in Rosewood.
The garage is directly attached to the rest of the interior, giving survivors a safe place to repair and store their vehicles.
Much of the northern and western sides of the building are surrounded by chain-link fences, making them much easier to fortify.
Firefighter zombies spawn around the perimeter or within the station, often carrying firefighter gear and weapons.
Fire department vehicles may spawn in the parking lot.

Before the addition of Louisville to the map, the Rosewood Fire Department was the only fire station in the game.
The Rosewood Fire Department is the only fire department in the game to use grey garage doors as opposed to red garage doors.
