Strategy removed collapsible content template

not sure who added the navbox, but these navbox suck for the collapsed content, what happens is that a person will find the words or phrases on google, then they cant find them in the article.

We could always differentiate the content with a different background color. Ikip (talk) 10:20, 24 January 2024 (UTC)

I've added some more info on the navbox template which may help with how we came to the decision to be collapsed by default as well as the purpose of the navbox.
Re:Googling. If someone google's "banana", they're not going to go to the "apple" page, scroll down to the navbox to click on the "banana" article. They'll be fed the "banana" page. The navbox is just intended to provide a list of links to related topics, which you don't need if you're already on the article you want.
Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you mean. Either way, I hope this helps. - Vaileasys (talk) Wiki Administrator 12:12, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
For example: Often in google search, if you type in the name of a page in google image search, SEVERAL of our pictures come up from this site, many of these pictures are for different locations. If you clicked on the photo, it would not be the correct location, and doing a search of the location would garner no results, because the template is collapsed. Ikip i struggle to see how this effects the strategy/guide section. It's not a navbox it's a togglebox. There are no images in the togglebox, and if a user is searching specific phrases they will be able to find the heading for the information they want in the TOC. The togglebox allows the guide to be differentiated for users who are not interested, and reduce the page length overall. What is the point of having toggleboxes if we cant use them? I think what Ikip means is when you find some wrongly-labeled page in Google images (e.g., you search for apples but end up in bananas page), click it, it will bring you to the bananas page but when you ctrl+f for apples, your browser won't show you results as it's a banana page and apple is only on the navbox that is collapsed, though not searched-through. Though not sure if that alone warrants a whole navbox to be expanded by default… —Faalagorn/ 01:29, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
