Foraging is a Survivalist skill that allows you to search forested areas for food and resources.

Usage

Right-click the ground in a forest area and click Forage on the context menu.

  • Foraging takes 15 seconds to complete, but resources may be obtained at any time in the duration.
  • Items will spawn in the players inventory.
  • Repeat foraging will increase the player's tiredness.
  • Items aren't unlimited in a zone, if you don't find anything, go elsewhere and try again, they'll be replenished after 50000 game time units. If no Forage context option appears, trying moving elsewhere nearby or closer to the woods.
    • Zone size is 40x40 centered around the player.
  • The maximum chance finding items is 25% for food/bait and 30% for stone/wood.
  • During March and April, chances of finding food are reduced.
  • From November to February, only non-edible items are found.
  • Foraging in deep forest increases the chance to find anything.
  • The number of items found will depend on your skill, and the chance to find items will depend on your skill and "Nature's Abundance" setting in Sandbox mode.
    • Sandbox setting "Nature's Abundance" defines the amounts of findings per zone.
Nature's Abundance Findings per zone
Very poor 1 - 10
Poor 3 - 13
Normal 5 - 15
Abundant 7 - 17
Very abundant 10 - 20
