A metal crate is a craftable container.

Usage

A metal crate is used as a means of item storage, with a capacity of 80. They can be stacked up to three high, giving 240 capacity, the maximum for a single tile.

A metal crate, like any other container, can be destroyed by a sledgehammer. If it is destroyed, all of its contents will spill onto the floor. Furthermore, any crates stacked on top of that crate will fall down.

Crafting

Crafting requires a metalworking skill of 4 and learning the recipe via The Metalwork Magazine Vol. 2 or starting with the metalworker occupation.

How to craft: Like other metalworking recipes, a propane torch and welder mask must in the player's inventory for the option to appear. Right-click the world to open the contextual menu, then select Metalwork > Containers > Metal Crate. All the ingredients must either be in the player's inventory (main or equipped bag) or on the floor nearby. Unlike other recipes, the ingredients cannot be in a nearby container.
