A wooden wall is a structure that the player can build to fortify a structure or create obstacles against zombies.

Wooden walls

Wooden walls are a defensive structure that can be built to seal entranceways, reinforce entry/exit points, and can be used in the creation of completely new structures.

All wooden walls and wooden windows require a player to have a hammer, planks, and nails to construct. The strength of the wall itself is dependant on the level of the actual wall.

The HP of a wall in Project Zomboid is determined based on its base material, the skill level of the builder, and the wall's level.
Here's how you can calculate it:

Formula

Total HP = Base HP + Skill Bonus HP + Level HP

• Base HP is based on the base material:
  • Wooden: 50 HP
  • Metal: 120 HP

• Skill Bonus HP depends on the Carpentry level:
  • Carpentry 0: 0 HP
  • Carpentry 1-2: 40 HP
  • Carpentry 3-4: 80 HP
  • Carpentry 5-6: 120 HP
  • Carpentry 7-8: 160 HP
  • Carpentry 9-10: 200 HP

• Level HP is based on the wall's material level:
  • Level 1: 600 HP
  • Level 2: 700 HP
  • Level 3: 800 HP

By plugging in the appropriate values from the categories above into the formula, one can determine the total HP of a given wall.

Building a Wooden Wall:

Constructing a wooden wall is a methodical process. Follow these steps to ensure a sturdy build:

1. Equip the Hammer: Before you start, ensure you have the hammer in your possession.
2. Construct a Wooden Frame: This will serve as the base structure for your wall.
3. Upgrade the Frame: Use additional wood and nails to reinforce the frame.

Wall Maintenance and Aesthetics:

• Destruction: Although walls can be easily demolished using a sledgehammer, remember that materials will not be reclaimed.
• Painting: To personalize your wall, use paint and a paintbrush. However, make sure the wall is plastered before painting.
