A trunk is a container which can be found at the back of all cars. It is the primary way to store items in vehicles.
Usage
Storing items
Items can be stored in a vehicle's trunk to allow them to be moved across the map faster than on foot. They could fall out if the Trunk Lid is not properly maintained. Different vehicles have different size trunks. Heavy-duty vehicles tend to have the largest, at the expense of vehicle speed. Standard vehicles strike a balance between mobility and capacity, while sport vehicles are often more mobile at the expense of trunk space.
Condition
The trunk comes pre-installed on all vehicles and cannot be removed or swapped out.
Lower condition trunks can hold fewer items. If the trunk condition is damaged while items are still inside, items will not fall out. Instead, the capacity will be lowered to below the capacity it is filled at. For example, a trunk that is filled with 100 units of encumbrance can be damaged to only be able to hold 90 units of encumbrance. However, the items will all remain inside, and not dropped on the ground to lower the encumbrance to 90. Once the items are removed, however, the trunk cannot hold more than 90 units without being repaired.
The trunk can be repaired with metal sheets or small metal sheets and a propane torch at metalworking 3 and mechanics 2.
