Hard of Hearing
General
Hard of hearing is a negative trait.
Overview

Smaller perception radius. Smaller hearing range.
This trait reduces the hearing radius of the player. It gives 4 points and can be selected during character creation.
Effects
Besides the decreased perception radius, the range of sound will be decreased, and the sound effects will be muffled. This will, for example, influence the following sounds being heard:
- Breaking of glass windows is severely reduced, making it harder to pinpoint which glass window broke.
- Metagame events are less likely to be heard to not at all. The helicopter event can still be heard.
- Zombie sounds are less hearable. Thus, the player should rely on spotting the panic moodle in situations in which no zombies are visible.
- Burglar alarms can still be heard, but not as loud as before.
- Sound of food cooking/burning is no longer heard. Thus, the player may have to check more often on the cooking status of food.
Characters with this trait can still wake up from alarms in the alarm clock or the digital watches. Listening to the radio is still possible as well, even at volume 2.
