|text = Welcome again to the monthly summary! February is technically the shortest month in the year (less with the leap day this year), though with me writing the summary on each Sunday, I guess it's more dependent on the weeks' layout than the days alone. Anyway, this we got a lot to cover this month, so let's get into it!
|Text = Hello again! To brighten up Wiki a little, after a brief discussion on the [https://discord.gg/theindiestone Discord], I decided to update this section each month with a monthly recap of what happened in PZwiki if time permits, hopefully every last weekend of the month. So, starting with May, what happened? Quite a few actually, though most changes were under the hood.

===Annonymous side statistics===
This month started with some [[PZwiki:Awards|PZwiki awards]] cleanups, originally introduced by [[User:Connall|Connall]] as userboxes back in 2014 and slightly brought back in 2018, they were introduced as barnstars by [[User:Ikip|Ikip]] late last year, but were to expansive for us, so instead of removing, I trimmed them down. There will be some more cleanups done later down the line, especially since they aren't used really widely, but since a few users seemed to at least get fond of them, I kept them, giving credit where it's due.
Thanks to the lovely website manager [[User:Kirrus|Kirrus]], some annonymous site visitors stats are available to be viewed using self-hosted Matomo Analytics, A Google Analytics alternative that is totally annonymous, but allows us to see most visited pages, devices being used and the like – this should allow to drive more direction in the areas that needs the most attention, like most visited pages or tailor it better to the devices being used.

===Favicon===
Next, thanks to [[User:NasKo|nasKo]] we got new roles on [https://discord.gg/theindiestone Discord] for wiki admins and wiki editors – the latter will be used to announce important messages and monthly summaries, so that's nice to have. We had some organizational/coordination updates too, more on that below.
Thanks to [[Marina Siu-Chong|Mash]], we now have a unique nice-looking favicon! It should appear in most browsers, as well as in bookmarks or shortcuts and being available in several sizes should be picked right for each device. Feel free to let us know if there's some issue on other devices, especially Apple ones, as there are sizes and icons that are unique to some devices, so if something comes up pixelated, we might consider adding something for it!

===Wiki manager===
Then, next main thing down the line was introduction of automated distribution template thanks to [[User:Calvy|Calvy]], carrying on the loose idea from [[User:Carina|Carina]] marked in [[PZwiki:Tasks|PZwiki tasks]] page for a while. The script used also brought back a need of coordinated place on GitHub for those scripts – we might get a proper repository somewhere down the line, but right now they are being collected as a part of [https://github.com/stars/Faalagorn/lists/pzwiki-scripts this list]. They are slowly being updated on item pages.
Following the news from February, I ranked up higher to a wiki maintainer, this, among some other minor things, allows me to do some more under the hood changes, including changing some of the interface, which brings me to another point.

===New sidebar===
Which bring us to another huge job [[User:Calvy|Calvy]] was performing this month, utilizing [[User:CalvyBot|CalvyBot]] to perform thousands of mundane tasks with clever [[Wikipedia:Regular expression|regex]] scripts with [[mw:Manual:Pywikibot|Pywikibot]], that brought us tons of minor fixes but also helping tremendously with both [[PZwiki:Project Navigation and Categories|Project Navigation and Categories]] and removal of language bar lately (which is now replaced by a sidebar), as well as deploying new infoboxes…
I cleaned up and revamped the sidebar a little, including adding tooltip to each of the entries. This was followed by some renames briefly talked about on Discord too. Feel free to leave any comment on Discord or on my [[User talk:Faalagorn|talk page]] if you see any typos or want something changed.

===Cleaned up TODOs===
…Which again, brings us yet another point, being the new infoboxes! By now, pretty much all the infoboxes are moved to the newer look and functionality, with the old ones being deprecated and removed soon™.
Along the improved sidebar comes also improved TODOlist, I refreshed [[PZwiki:Issues]] as well as [[PZwiki:Community projects]] basically moving what I had on my talk page and removing things that no longer apply. You can now watch the direction wiki  goes better. While at it, I also cleaned up some of the [[Help:Contents]] and [[PZwiki:Style guide]] (where, after a brief discussion with TIS team thanks to Kirrus asking them directly whether US or UK writing style is prefered, a US preference comes first so sorry Spiffo!), though more changes, including writing up [[Help:Tables]] is still on the table (no pun intended!).

===RecipeLookup removal===
And another not-project-related work by Calvy is elaborating on [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] idea of adding [[item tags]] – these will probably be especially useful on [[build 42]] with the new crafting systems, but are starting to be useful right now!
RecipeLookup template served its purpose since its introduction back in 2011 by then-wiki administrator [[User:DUMBELLS|DUMBELLS]] and saw a whooping over 600 edits, but since then became too large and outdated and was, after several experiments and tries, replaced with [[Template:Crafting/core]] by our another administrator [[User:Vaileasys]] who did lots of the groundwork for what we have now back in 2019. It was largely replaced for the English pages since and then I slowly began finishing of what Vaileasys started and finally, after months or replacing it here and there I went up and replaced it elsewhere, finishing it just today. This finally allowed me to remove the template and its surrounding ones. This allows to focus on future, especially as [[Build 42]] will totally overhaul crafting and remove some old item icons and template errors as well as ease up maintaining what we have now. Nothing is without loss though, as unfortunately the new template wasn't translated to most languages yet and some pages such as non-English [[Crafting]] page suffered the most, so if you have time, you can help translate and add missing stuff to those pages based on the newest content!

Also, hopefully it won't be needed, but just in case, old versions of templates can be restored by any administrator, I also have a local copy of the Russian and Japanese crafting pages, as these were the largest, so feel free to contact me if you want to recreate the pages but want to look how they looked like before.
And finally, before getting to the project summaries, we also had some organizational changes:
*I took the leadership of [[PZwiki:Project Build 41 Update|Project Build 41 Update]] from [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]], slowly trying to bring it to finish. We'll probably open a [[build 42]] project after that, but gotta finish off the old crust first.
*[[User:Calvy|Calvy]] took the leadership of the [[PZwiki:Project Spiffo's Construction Crew|Project Spiffo's Construction Crew]] from the busy [[User:HakunaWhiskey|HakunaWhiskey]] to finally get the attention it deserves, mo on that later.
*Sadly the [[PZwiki:Project Modding|Project Modding]] lost its leadership now – it was always on a backburner, but maybe will see some love down the line.

===Item models===
The [[PZwiki:Tasks|Tasks]] got some cleanups too, some things moved to projects properly.
Thanks to [[User:Carina|Carina]], most items have models now! There'll be still some cleaning, but Carina did mention few times that if you want any model uploaded, you should ask her about it, so I guess don't hesitate to ask her about it on Discord!

===Other contributions===
===Project Build 41 Update===
We also saw some returning and new editors doing some minor cleanups as well as some updates for French and Russian pages. While this month was quite slow, a lot has happened since February anyway and slow updates are to be expected until game gets a new update, which gives us time to focus on improving existing things!
Following the leadership changes in '''[[PZwiki:Project Build 41 Update|Project Build 41 Update]]''', I updated the job board and listed everythin that remains to be done. It's mostly a few missing items (some of which can be moved to [[build 42]] project if they don't make it, as they only be spawned in [[debug mode]] and by admin in [[multiplayer]], as well as bringing skills, items, recipes and tiles up to date, some of the tasks being shared with the [[PZwiki:Project Spiffo's Construction Crew|Project Spiffo's Construction Crew]] and [[PZwiki:Project Seat Yourself Furniture|Project Seat Yourself Furniture]], so some focus could shift there eventually.

===What's next===
Some items, mainly clothing, were split to separate pages too, following the new infobox, codebox and distribution deployments, to not host too much on one page. There will be a few more that will be split, some missing pages updated and afterwards the main focus will be updating the pages to 41.78.16 from [[:Category:Version]].
For me first, I'll finish up cleaning up and close [[PZwiki:Project Recipe Template and Distribution]] which will be a first project closed, clean up and remove duplicate images now that they're not needed, move some templates that use Crafting/core template directly, then move up on removing old navboxes and infoboxes and then follow a little more about categoties, especially the non-English one to give a good base to work at. Then update some admin pages and ''hopefully'' go on full-on for updating everything to build 41 and closing [[PZwiki:Project Build 41 Update]] project! Till the next month!

—[[User:Faalagorn|Faalagorn]][[User talk:Faalagorn|☎]]/[[Special:Contributions/Faalagorn|✓]] 23:34, 28 May 2023 (BST)
We also don't announce the project through the site notice now, as it's closer than ever to being finished!

|Text = This section was always a tad neglected, but after a few years of radio silence, it's time for some refresh!
===New administrator===
Kinda weird to introduce myself, but thanks to [[User:Kirrus]], I got admin rights [[Special:UserRights/Faalagorn|right at the beginning of Feburary]]. This allowed me to do some <s>Spring</s> cleaning to the Wiki.

===Wiki mainteneance===
===Project Locations and Maps===
Again, thanks to the [[User:Kirrus]], we had some new Wiki upgrades, including caching tweaks, new SyntaxHighlight plugin and some mainteneance upgrades.
The '''[[PZwiki:Project Locations and Maps|Project Locations and Maps]]''' is probably the most active one, sadly resulting in one contributor being blocked from editing because of some mishaps, but other than that it's getting healthy management of [[User:ThinkDock1721|ThinkDock]], including article rewrites and image categorization and contributions from other users.

===Nearest neighbour image scaling===
Here's the summary from [[User:ThinkDock1721|ThinkDock]]:
Separate 120 px / 128 px item icons are no longer needed! Thanks to the addition of a <code>class=pixelart</code> to [[MediaWiki:Common.css]] by [[User:Kirrus]], it can now be applied to icons which are now scaled using nearest neighbour and are no longer blurry, see [[User:Faalagorn/120 px test]] to see how it works. It took a while to update all templates and pages to not use the 120 / 128 px variants of icons, but it should work in all modern browsers and some older ones as well, without having to upload a separate version of the icon (unless you are stuck with IE6, though can you even browse anything at that point?). Currently it is applied only to images using <code>class=pixelart</code> and for galleries it can't be applied automatically, but maybe in future it could be applied globally for everything (since we mainly use pixel art anyway).
<blockquote>
Hi all, [[User:ThinkDock1721|ThinkDock]] here. While there were a few more heated debates and some speed bumps along the way, including an unfortunate loss of a contributor, January was a great month for locations and maps! Here's a quick summary:

===Cleaning of old burden===
Unfortunately, I am sad to announce that our long-time contributor [[User:Ikip|Ikip]] was banned. His contributions were greatly appreciated, and will live on in the reworks and templates that we continue to use.
Aside of removing the 120 / 128 px icons, I also removed some old templates. There's still more to do (you can track progress on my [[User:Faalagorn#TODO]] page, especially for translations, so if you can, please upgrade the old pages to use the newest templates, especially the [[:Template:RecipeLookup]], [[:Category:Infobox deprecated]]. It also helps to add DISPLAYTITLE to translations as per [[PZwiki:Style guide#Translations]].

===New languages===
[[User:Calvy|Calvy]] Finished up the rest of the first pass of [[Louisville]], so now all that needs to be done is formatting and other cleanups. However, he has mostly been busy with clothing and other items. That doesn't mean he hasn't knocked it completely out of the park with brainstorming, though! Thanks for all your help!
Ukrainian thanks to [[User:NeGat1FF]], Hungarian thanks to [[User:Gerizmo]] and Chinese Simplified (Mainland China) thanks to [[User:Dlm tamashii]] are all officially added to the wiki now! Feel free to translate to those or existing languages, or add your own!

===PZwiki projects updates===
[[User:Ksilem|Ksilem]] Also helped out by reworking the [[Laundromat]] page, as well as adding on to various pages, including some [[Doe Valley]] and [[Fallas Lake]] works. This will make it a lot easier to complete these towns faster. They also did lots of brainstorming in the Discord. Thanks!
Everyone welcome [[User:Pohly]] as the new manager of [[PZwiki:Project Locations and Maps]]! Also, some original projects by [[User:Vaileasys]] were updated in [[PZwiki:Community projects]]. The [[PZwiki:Project Build 41 Update]] is close to being finished too, hopefully to be settled before [[Build 42]] hits!

===Other works===
[[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] and [[User:Faalagorn|Faalagorn]] helped with some brainstorming as well, mainly with figuring out what categories will be relevant for the project and which ones we have and don't have. Thanks, it's great to have admin support!
[[User:Aiteron]] did a lot of work with Modding recently, we also had a lot of contributors from the regional existing communities, including Russian by [[User:ВЛАДИЧКА]], Thai by [[User:‎Godofpleum007]] and a lot of work by others, including [[Tiles/Plumbing|plumbing revamp]] by [[User:IN REM]] and loose edits by many unnamed contributors in [[Special:RecentChanges]]! Thanks a lot for any edit made!

===Future work===
I personally did a lot of stuff behind the scenes this month, namely getting almost all the images of locations categorized. In the future, when we upload images, I want to kindly ask everyone to edit their page and categorize them according to what town the location is in, even if the category isn't made yet. If anyone knows how to work bots, please hit me up, as I had to do it all manually.
For me, I'll keep on cleaning the old burden and eventually focus on upgrading everything to [[Build 41]], hopefully before [[Build 42]] hits IWBUMS. Some of the work I do can be tracked on my [[User:Faalagorn#TODO|user page]]. Until next time!

[[User:Faalagorn|Faalagorn]][[User talk:Faalagorn|☎]]/[[Special:Contributions/Faalagorn|✓]] 22:49, 26 February 2023 (UTC)}}
I also got moderator privileges on the Map Project (Thanks [[User:Blindcoder|blindcoder]]!) so I will be adding more and more POIs on there as my time frees up. I also added the ''site maintenance'' task on the job board, so if you want to help out with behind the scenes stuff as well, feel free to, as now I have a documented list available.

==May 2019==
As for future plans, after I have all the newer images categorized, I'm going to finish up Fallas Lake and then focus on improving consistency for the Map Project to keep it in line with the wiki. After that's mostly accomplished, it'll be off to the rest of the smaller towns and then the massive juggernaut of Louisville! I don't see myself getting through all that in only one month, so changes after that will be discussed in the next summary. That's just me, though! Feel free to use the Discord or project talk page to discuss with other contributors!

|Date = 16 May, 2019
|Text = It’s been several months since the last update, however a lot of both minor and major updates have been made.
===Changes to the wiki===
There have been some fairly large changes made to the wiki lately, mostly stylistic, however were much needed. Previously all articles would use the default “wikitable” design, however we’ve made our own design could “pztable”, so please use this one instead of the old “wikitable” one.
====New Main Page====
Firstly, the [[Main Page]] has seen a complete redesign. Much of the design was influenced by the previous design (by [[User:MalonyJenkins|MalonyJenkins]]) and various voices on discord, so thank you everyone that provided some input.
====New pages====
With the new main page, several new pages had to be made to improve the sections. New location pages for each major location ([[Muldraugh, KY]], [[West Point, KY]], etc.), new item lists ([[Medical]], [[Literature]], etc.), various lore pages ([[Knox Event]], [[Businesses]], etc.), a [[furniture]] page, which functions similarly to the current [[Items]] page, and plenty more.
====Administration stuff====
The [[Template:Navbox|navbox template]] has finally been out of a sandbox and into an actual template page, which is [[Template:Navbox/Core]], since we still don’t want to break all the non-english pages (more on this later).
The [[Template:Languages|languages template]], also known as the language bar, has had a style redesign, with the functionality being unchanged. This has been done to more closely match the category bar at the foot of the page.
====Page updates/changes====
For many years (since 2013), Project Zomboid has changed the name of the game location from ‘Knox County’ to ‘Knox Country’, however this has never been updated on the wiki. So that has finally been updated. [[Knox Country]] is now the current updated map of Project Zomboid, whilst [[Knox County]] is the old 0.2.0 map of Project Zomboid.
The [[food]] page has also been updated, now having a list of all food items.
===The state of Project Zomboid===
Build 41 is still in an internal testing stage, however with many changes being added each week. We are hoping for an IWBUMS release before too long, however the timeframe is still unclear.
===Going forward===
We are currently working on a new [[Items]] page design, which will be separated into different categories, to improve the load time and for the future of translation. This new items page is getting close to completion, so it will hopefully be added before long.
====Translation foundations====
We have also begun work on a way of improving translation on the wiki. This is still very early in development; however, progress seems to be going well. More info on this should be coming with the next news update, with the items page being the main target to begin the new translation template.
====Recipe/Crafting lookup====
This template is ‘’still’’ borked, however we hope to work on this and the translation template simultaneously, once the Items page is complete.
====Missing/Stub pages====
There are still many missing/stub pages that we’d really like to get sorted. So, any contributions towards these pages would be much appreciated. These include:
* [[Heat source]]
* [[Radio]]
* [[Empty Bottle (Mayonnaise)]]
* [[Empty Bottle (Remoulade)]]
* [[Cake Preparation]]
* [[Bowl of Stew]]
* [[Bass]]
* [[Catfish]]
* [[Crappie]]
* [[Perch]]
* [[Pike]]
* [[Sunfish]]
* [[Trout]]
* [[Compost Bag]]
* [[Insecticide Spray]]
* [[Mildew Spray]]
* [[Mortar and Pestle]]
* [[Poultice]]
* [[Candle]] (merge [[Lit Candle]])
* [[Generator]]
====New infoboxes====
Some new infoboxes need to be made, since many articles are still using the very basic outdated ones. These include:
* [[Template:Infobox furniture]]
* [[Template:Infobox clothing]]
* [[Template:Infobox weapon mod]]
====New pages====
New pages that we’d like to see added, to improve the knowledgebase are:
*[[Survivalist]] – somewhere to describe the survivalist houses (boarded, food hoarding), vehicles and upcoming zombies.
*[[Knox Penitentiary]] – the location of the jail to the west of Rosewood
*[[Crossroads Mall]] – the location of the mall to the East of Valley Station
*[[House In The Woods (challenge)]] – the last stand challenge
*[[General John McGrew]] – the man in charge of the going-ons of the Knox Event.
----
That is all for now, hopefully in the next update we have some more information about build 41, so we can start making changes to compliment its release to stable.

- [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] ([[User_talk:Vaileasys|talk]]) '''''Wiki Administrator''''' 15:20, 16 May 2019 (BST)
See y'all next month!
</blockquote>

Other than that, there were two more old-time contributors helping us as well, as well as one newcomer fixing location coordinates, those help too!
*[[User:The (plastic) Cheeseman|The (plastic) Cheeseman]] expanding some pages.
*[[User:Slightsmile|Slightsmile]] expanding some pages as well.
*[[User:Doncaster|Doncaster]] fixing wrong coordinates for [[Filigree Fashions]].

I also helped with some image miscategorization lately, which should help the [[PZwiki:Project Navigation and Categories|Project Navigation and Categories]] too!

===Project Modding===
Like I mentioned before, the '''[[PZwiki:Project Modding|Project Modding]]''' project didn't get much attention sadly. It's currently looking for new ownership, so if you think you are up for the task of managing it, let us know either here on the wiki or on the [https://discord.gg/theindiestone Discord].

It did see a contribution to the active [[list of Tiledefs in use by mods]] page by [[User:Glytch3r|Glytch3r]] this month, thanks!

===Project Navigation and Categories===
The '''[[PZwiki:Project Navigation and Categories|Project Navigation and Categories]]''' saw probably the most attention this month, the layout was finally pretty much finalized, with the only remaining ones being [[clothing]] (and unrelated [[Template:Body location]] changes), and materials intricacies when it comes to the item and some cleanups to other categories which will be narrowed down the line, possibly by other projects. Here's the summary from the project leader, [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]]:
<blockquote>
We've had a lot of progress with the project this month, largely thanks to Calvy and the use of his bot swapping the [[Template:Header|header]] and updating categories.
This month we've completed:
*[[:Category:World]]
*[[:Category:Development]]
*[[:Category:Tiles]] - this may need another review over the next month
*[[:Category:Equipment]]
*[[:Category:Materials]]

Other than some minor adjustments, the last major category left is [[:Category:Clothing]], which has been put on hold temporarily until we finalise the layout.
</blockquote>

There was some categorization decisions related to [[PZwiki:Project Locations and Maps|Project Locations and Maps]].

===Project Seat Yourself Furniture===
As expected not much moved in the '''[[PZwiki:Project Seat Yourself Furniture|Project Seat Yourself Furniture]]''' yet, but it got some minor job progress mainly thanks to the rapid progress in the Project Spiffo's Construction Crew and some in the Project Build 41 Update. Hopefully after both of them will be reaching mature stage, this project will get back to spotlight again!

===Project Spiffo's Construction Crew===
A lot has happened for the '''[[PZwiki:Project Spiffo's Construction Crew|Project Spiffo's Construction Crew]]''', it's yet far from being finished, especially as it all correlates with different projects and side projects, but it's catching speed real quick. Let me get the summary from the current project leader, [[User:Calvy|Calvy]]:
<blockquote>
G'day editors. It's been a good month over in [[PZwiki:Project Spiffo's Construction Crew|SCC]] land. After finishing [[PZwiki:Project Electricals and Transmission|Project Electricals and Transmission]] I took up the role of leader from [[User:HakunaWhiskey|HakunaWhiskey]], who I'd like to thank for their work on the project before me.

By contributor count, we're the smallest project (besides the on hold [[PZwiki:Project Modding|modding project]]), and it was clear that construction had been neglected for quite some time. Due to this, a large portion of this month has been dedicated to getting a good framework to build off of, including a full overhaul of the job board. So far the completed work this month includes;
*Categorising relevant articles.
*Marking articles as stubs, or requiring improvement where needed.
*Working with [[PZwiki:Project Build 41 Update|Project B41]] to design and deploy [[Template:Infobox tile]], replacing the multitude of different infoboxes.
**Creating [[Item tags]] for the new <code>X_tool_tag</code> parameter.
*Creating and deploying [[Template:Construction hp]] to relevant articles.
*Verifying information in [[Template:Crafting carpentry]] and [[Template:Crafting metalworking]].
*Article updates;
**Most construction related items are completed.
**Wall articles are in a much better place.

I'd like to thank both [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] and [[User:Faalagorn|Faalagorn]] for their help across the project, and coordination with their respective projects to standardise articles. As well as;
*[[User:PotatoEngine|PotatoEngine]] - Edits to [[Water Dispenser]].
*[[User:ThinkDock1721|ThinkDock1721]] - Design feedback via [[Discord]].
*Anyone else I may have missed with various edits.

For the coming month we'll be focusing on articles themselves, we still have missing articles from B41s release, and a large list of articles to update and improve.

Overall a really good start to the project, and looking forward there's a lot of work left to go, but I have no doubts that we can get it done.

Thanks, [[User:Calvy|Calvy]].
</blockquote>
It would be nice to thanks [[User:ThreeLime|ThreeLime]] doing some meaningful contributions to the somewhat-neglected-yet-popular [[carpentry]] page!

===Project Translations===
The '''[[PZwiki:Project Translations|Project Translations]]''' didn't see a huge changes with [[User:Vibrance|Vibrance]] waiting [[User:Kirrus|Kirrus]] to let us test the [[mw:Extension:Translate|Translate extension]] before evaluating it being deployed, to hopefully make keeping translations up to date easier, but it might take some time. It also made [[User:Ksilem|Ksilem]] focus more on helping with English pages, including the ones from [[PZwiki:Project Locations and Maps|Project Locations and Maps]] which is important task for a healthy basis for other translators!

Anyway, that doesn't mean there wasn't any strides being done – the <nowiki>{{Languages}}</nowiki> template is finally being retired in favor of the sidebar, done by [[User:CalvyBot|Calvy's bot]] and I'll finally get myself to update the remaining 7 main pages to the new format, to retire the old templates. We're also slowly moving away from the translation database from {{tlx|Translate}} and {{tlx|T}} in favor for {{tlx|ll}} and retiring <nowiki>{{Sp}}</nowiki> in favor of {{tlx|lcs}} template.

As far as specific translations though, we saw some activity as usual, thank you everyone!

====Traditional Chinese====
*[[User:A41133tw|A41133tw]] contributing some translations as usual this month, nice!

====Simplified Chinese====
*[[User:CHN20240222|CHN20240222]] contributing translations for [[Traits/zh-hans]].

====Czech====
*[[User:NyaCZ|NyaCZ]] joining and adding some Czech translations – some templates usage had to be corrected, but it's understandable, as they are confused sometimes.

====French====
*[[User:Julien furious|Julien furious]] translating [[Metalworking (crafting)/fr]].

====German====
*[[User:Combreaker|Combreaker]] contributing some translations.

====Brazilian Portugese====
*[[User:Bueno|Bueno]] contributing some translations to the [[First Aid/pt-br]].

====Russian====
*[[User:Shpatell|Shpatell]] contributing some translation and also contributing a minor fix to [[Hazmat Suit]].

====Spanish====
*[[User:Notauser|Notauser]] translating some of the [[Bags/es]].
As well as [[User:Teromax34|Teromax34]] coming back from a break, so hopefully we'll see more, Spanish being one of the most healthy languages supported on the wiki!

====Turkish====
*[[User:Ksilem|Ksilem]] contributing translation, before staying with us helping with the general wiki tasks, especially the [[PZwiki:Project Locations and Maps|Project Locations and Maps]].

===Other important works===
I summarized all the most important works above, this time, but let the [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] summarize his work below:
<blockquote>
Outside of the category project, most of my time this month has been spent on adding/improving infoboxes and misc work on various other templates.

The bigger changes are:

Infoboxes:
*[[Template:Infobox tile|Infobox tile]]: replaces Infobox furniture and uses the new infobox framework.
*[[Template:Infobox item|Infobox item]]: a lot of improvements, added translatability, and completed documentation. (more work still to do)
*[[Template:Infobox character|Infobox character]]: implemented changes to pages
*[[Template:Infobox company|Infobox company]]: updated to new framework.
*[[Template:Infobox game|Infobox game]]: updated to new framework.
*[[Template:Infobox version|Infobox version]]: updated to new framework.
*[[Template:Infobox vehicle|Infobox vehicle]]: updated to new framework.

Other templates:
*[[Template:Navbox skills|Navbox skills]]: added translatability.
*[[Template:Transcript|Transcript]]: template to consistently format transcripts.
*[[Template:Mood|Mood]]: used to calculate the in-game moodle effect from values in game files.
*[[Template:Experience|Experience]]: added calculations for values in media files.
*[[Template:Tag link|Tag link]]: template to simplify adding links to [[item tags]].

As a side project I've been developing a parser for the scripts files, along with complimentary scripts. The purpose of this is for the [[PZwiki:Item List|item list]] and simplify updating values elsewhere, such as tables on on the [[weapons]] page.
</blockquote>

====Minor fixes====
With that done, let's get directly into all the little but important fixes:
*[[User:Fuberti|Fuberti]] contributing some trivia.
*[[User:Kdjnchii|Kdjnchii]] providing some [[food]] value corrections.

I think I forgot to mention all the prior contributions of the long-standing user [[User:LethalCitizen|LethalCitizen]], being focused on [[Easter eggs]], but Lethal also helped improve the page for [[The Indie Stone]], and creating the [[Formosa Interactive]], [[General Arcade]], [[The Eccentric Ape]], and [[Tanglewood Games]]! Thanks a lot for all the contributions!

Also [[User:Calvy|Calvy]] again helped us fixing some of the [[Spiffo]] and [[Discord]] page, thanks!

====Affiliates====
Nothing much changed here, but the [https://fallout.wiki/wiki/Fallout_Wiki Independent Fallout Wiki] is being healthy as always, and so are we. Here's a short note from [[User:Kate Aces|Kate Aces]], an admin of the Fallout Wiki:
<blockquote>
HELL YEAH this month we are celebrating our two year anniversary and hit 65,000 articles!
</blockquote>
Congratulations on reaching 65k! That's a huge number of pages to maintain!

====Future works====
Next month should mark further style changes to the look of the wiki – I'll finish moving main pages to the new format, we'll finish deploying the new header, removing language toolbar in favor of sidebar and finally re-introduce the background image, so stay tuned! Some server-side things will have to wait, as [[User:Kirrus|Kirrus]] will be away for a week or two, so barred some emergency not much help here, but there's a lot that we have on mind, so we'll all have our hands occupied.

I'll try hard on finalizing the Build 41 updates and clearing tasks, to provide a blank canvas for future [[build 42]] update too, so hopefully we can speed it up. I'll try collaborating more with the various other projects, including the PZMap and the overall community and developers, so a bright future is ahead of us!

Thank you for making it to the end reading it all, see you around on Wiki and Discord, and in the next month summary! —[[User:Faalagorn|Faalagorn]][[User talk:Faalagorn|☎]]/[[Special:Contributions/Faalagorn|✓]] 18:07, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

===Changes to the wiki===
====Return of the regulars====
As we all know, [[build 40]] has finally been released to the stable branch, meaning that there's been a small influx of players returning to the game and experiencing the beautiful new weather effects. We've seen a few of our regular players and editors returning and editing the wiki, specifically [[User:Faalagorn|Faalagorn]] and [[User:The-phil|The-phil]] that have made a few necessary edits, so thank you to you both, along with everyone else that has contributed.

For several months [[User:Halkaze|Halkaze]] has been doing some fantastic work in translating to Japanese along with many other super helpful edits, and has truly become a pillar of this wiki.
{{Wiki news
|title = January 2024
|date = 2024-02-04
|text = Welcome everyone to the summary of the first whole month of 2024! Now that we're deep in 2024, I archived all the 2023 monthly summaries to the [[PZwiki:News/2023|2023 archive]], and changed the header names so they refer more to what the news were about. Hopefully for 2024 we will have a full 12 of the monthly summaries, with all the project summaries started in late 2023!

Despite some minor setbacks, this month was again much productive, let's start with the projects summary.

===Project Electricals and Transmission===
First off, let's congratulate to [[User:Calvy|Calvy]] for manning up and bringing the final push for '''[[PZwiki:Project Electricals and Transmission|Project Electricals and Transmission]]''' and everyone else for contributing! The next in line will probably be [[PZwiki:Project Spiffo's Construction Crew|Project Spiffo's Construction Crew]], good to have another project closed, pushing focus to other ones and opening room for potential new ones in the future!

===Project Build 41 Update===
'''[[PZwiki:Project Build 41 Update|Project Build 41 Update]]''' again saw much love, thanks from the combined effort of [[User:Angostura|Angostura]], some minor additions by [[User:Stabbyson|Stabbyson]], [[User:Absolute Lambda|Absolute Lambda]] updating missing items, [[User:Calvy|Calvy]]'s massive work, and [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] hard work elsewhere, as well as everyone else contributing anything minor – you all probably saw the new infoboxes, codeboxes, models, as well as version updates – it's hard to close it totally just yet, especially as it intertwine so closely with other projects, and side activities, but it is close enough to be taken out of the everlasting site notice, combined with inability to translate it reliably and taking some space, especially with the new skin improvements (more about it below). I may also be the one trying to push it forward in the coming weeks, probably taking it off [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]]'s shoulders (who's busy with [[PZwiki:Project Navigation and Categories|Project Navigation and Categories]] and some template works, currently focused on adjusting new infoboxes and skins, which you probably noticed already), after our brief discussion for those following us on the official [https://discord.gg/theindiestone Discord] server.

===Project Locations and Maps===
It's hard not to mention '''[[PZwiki:Project Locations and Maps|Project Locations and Maps]]''' without a great dose of admiration how much dedication is being put into updating it, here's the summary from the project leader, [[User:ThinkDock1721|ThinkDock1721]]!

<blockquote>
Hi all, [[User:ThinkDock1721|ThinkDock]] here. While there were a few heated debates and some speed bumps along the way, January was a '''monster''' of a month for locations and maps! Here's a quick summary:

First off, I want to give an enormous thanks to [[User:Calvy|Calvy]] for willingly tackling [[Louisville]]. It's quite the juggernaut, but they've managed to not only make a table with all the businesses, but also began the arduous process of elaborating on all the businesses so they're no longer stubs! There will be some cleanups required as always, but it's a monumental effort for just one person to take on. '''Thank you so so much!'''

Our long-time contributor [[User:Ikip|Ikip]] categorized almost all of the location pages, and also helped out with some minor edits here and there. Thanks!

We also had some minor edits and small contributions from the following users:
*[[User:Slightsmile|Slightsmile]] uploading some images and helping out with some [[March Ridge]] articles,
*[[User:XelaThing|XelaThing]] adding onto [[Goodman Legal Services]],
*[[User:Faalagorn|Faalagorn]] and [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] mediating some heated debates, and
*[[User:LethalCitizen|LethalCitizen]] brainstorming and overall helping out ideas in the Discord.

Thanks everyone!

I personally completed my project of finishing all the spawn towns, managing to get all of both [[Muldraugh]] and [[West Point]] done this month. (Late nights galore!) I also restructured the project page a bit.

As for the plan for the future, with Ikip categorizing all the locations themselves and Calvy tackling most of Louisville, I'll be free to do some collaboration with the folks at [[PZWiki:Project Navigation and Categories]] to categorize all the images and business logos that were missed by the bots.

After that, It'll be on to the minor towns of March Ridge and Valley Station, and then off to Louisville for some cleanups!

====Weather update====
However, once that's done, I'll be steering the project more towards challenge maps, site maintenance, and minor tasks until build 42 arrives with the new towns we all desperately want. It will be updated on the job board once I have all the ideas and tasks worked out.
With the release of build 40, we didn't have too many changes or additions, so we've pretty much kept on top of this update. The [[weather]] article has been updated to explain the new weather system, however it's still missing some key components, such the effects on the player and some sort of guide to surviving the elements. So, if anyone has anything to add, please do make an edit.

====Administration stuff====
That's just me though, feel free to use the project's talk page or the Discord to discuss ideas! See you all next week!
The navbox has seen a complete redesign, however it is currently using [[User:Vaileasys/sandbox]], since making changes to [[Template:Navbox]] will break far too many pages, specifically those not in English. This is only temporary, so we'll eventually sort that out. Furthermore, more navboxes are needed for things like [[vehicles]] and [[environment]]. So, the navbox changes are still in the early stages.

Once we're done with the navboxes, I'd like to move onto making more infoboxes, specifically for [[furniture]], so we can finally get to making those pages. Since the ability to pick-up and place furniture, I feel like this has become a major part of the game and really should be on the wiki.
(''please help it's 2:48AM right now and I have work at 7AM, I haven't even slept and I'm on for a 10 hour shift please help'')
</blockquote>
Hopefully ThinkDock will be able to get some rest though, especially we're on the right track starting a collaboration with [[User:Blindcoder|Blindcoder]] to bring updates to POIs on the epic official map up to date with the ones done in the wiki – we'll start with making the [[Project Zomboid Map Project]] page updated and more visible, so more people can contribute to both the wiki and map project, which will be more than important after [[build 42]] which is tentatively scheduled for the hopefully first half of this year in IWBUMS, which seems quite soon™.

===Moving forward===
Also, while minor, thanks to [[User:Missold|Missold]] for contributing description for [[Dentistry]], [[User:Perfk|Perfk]] for contributing one missing location for [[Wrecking yard]], [[User:Chomasyean8|Chomasyean8]] contributing some bits [[Louisville border camp]], and [[User:Insp175|Insp175]] for adding note for the [[Kentucky State Prison]] page – those bits help too, thank you!
With the fabled animations being the next major update, there will be some massive changes to the core of the game. These changes can range from basic [[Survival Guide|survival]] to [[clothing]] and [[weapons]]. So as soon as we see a test build, some preparation will need to be made for the stable release to the public.

Other than the animations, we'll be improving the vehicle articles, [[food]], [[cooking]], and anything else that may be covered in the [[PZwiki:Community_projects|community projects]].<br><br>
===Project Modding===
----
'''[[PZwiki:Project Modding|Project Modding]]''' sadly continues to be a tad neglected and most likely won't see a big push/update and stay open way past [[build 42]] (which will surely bring a lot of modding updates!), though it's understandable most of the editors want to focus on adding content and modders do their job, but there were some minor additions nevertheless:
<br>That's all for now. We'll be back with another update in a few months time, hopefully with some much bigger news, for both the wiki and Project Zomboid.}}
*[[User:ChuckleberryFinn|ChuckleberryFinn]] improving [[How to make a clothing mod]] page.
*[[User:STIMP TM|STIMP TM]] adding new entry to [[List of Tiledefs in use by mods]].
*[[User:Glytch3r|Glytch3r]] adding even more entries to the page above.
*[[User:Neznajka|Neznajka]] contributing as always, this time making a dedicated page for translations.
As always, thank you even for the tiniest contributions!

==August 2018==
===Project Navigation and Categories===
{{Community_news
'''[[PZwiki:Project Navigation and Categories|Project Navigation and Categories]]''' finally saw the amount of work needed this time, thanks to the hard work of [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] – while not yet finished, we expect it being finished soon. There's a brief summary of the works from [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]].
| Title = Community News
| Date = 31 August, 2018
| Text = Since the last update, we’ve had a lot of people, old and new, joining the wiki and contributing.
===Community updates===
As was mentioned in the previous update, we now have a discord channel dedicated to the wiki (yay). This has already been a great place to get some feedback on changes we’d like to make, while also motivating others to help by contributing. So, if you haven’t already, check out the [https://discord.gg/RcEYbU discord channel].

Furthermore, we have gotten a lot of attention from the guys (and girls) higher up, seeing both a [https://twitter.com/theindiestone/status/1018102192304254978 Twitter] and a [https://projectzomboid.com/blog/2018/07/hotdoid/ Thursdoid] mention. This, along with the Discord channel has caused a massive increase in our active users, from a measly 6 to a whopping 10 (wow, too many to count)! So thank you everyone that has contributed to the wiki over the past 30 days, no matter how diminutive your edit may seem, it is all appreciated.
<blockquote>
'''Categories'''

We are always looking for more people to help contribute to the wiki – while we’ve made a lot of progress, we’ve still got a long way to go before we can consider the wiki 'up-to-date'.
The category project has finally received some major progress. We have the category tree mostly completed and have implemented almost every category, with just some items left. The big ones left are "Equipment/Tools", "Materials" and "Clothing". As part of this project, we're also adding the new Template:Header/sandbox2|header and [[Template:Page version|page version]] templates.

===Changes to the wiki===
'''Minor changes'''
There have been quite a few large and important changes made over the month, some tedious (which are still ongoing) and others are a lot more exciting.

====Administration stuff====
We've added "show/hide" to the navbox, making it easier to know how to expand it, for inexperienced readers (also autotranslates). Body location template for clothing is now smaller and removed borders/headers from table.
=====Notice boxes=====
</blockquote>
First off, a small but important change, the notice boxes have been completely rewritten, since they were using multiple templates, including one which was directly copied from Wikipedia and far too in-depth and complicated for a small wiki like ours. Along with this change, some new templates have also been added, including one for [[Template:Merge|merging]] and [[Template:Move|moving]]. Each of these templates will be added to a category so we can come back to them and either merge, move or remove the notice. All of these old and new templates can be found on a single [[Template:NoticeBox|template/page]].
Vaileasys work was split between this and other templates, and people are slowly moving to help with this project, so hopefully we'll see it finally done really soon!

=====Vehicle infobox=====
===Project Seat Yourself Furniture===
An infobox for both vehicles and buildings has been created, both of which may see some changes as the wiki and game progress. Along with them, the design of the new templates that were mentioned in the previous blog update have been redesigned. The biggest changes include: moodle icons (which link to the relevant moodle), merged primary and secondary use into a single ‘function’ and food templates can now have up to 3 alternate images (this will eventually be added to more infoboxes), along with other more minor changes to the overall look of the infobox.
'''[[PZwiki:Project Seat Yourself Furniture|Project Seat Yourself Furniture]]''' sadly didn't see contributions – I still want to get back to it eventually, but due to time constrains, I already mentioned it on Discord briefly, so if anyone want to take leadership here, let me know! I'll gladly help with starting things up adding and updating the tiles!

=====Main page changes=====
===Project Spiffo's Construction Crew===
Some new screenshots have (finally) been added to the main page, along with a caption for each. So no longer will you come to the [[Main Page|main page]] of the wiki and see the same dude jumping over a fence on a basketball court (yes, I’ve been on the main page way too many times). The main page is open to new screenshot suggestions, especially with the new update well on its way. Which, while I’m here, a Steam thread has been created, asking for any screenshots of the beautiful weather effects, which will be needed for an update on the weather article, but more on that later.
'''[[PZwiki:Project Spiffo's Construction Crew|Project Spiffo's Construction Crew]]''' saw some great work by [[User:Calvy|Calvy]] – Calvy is busy with other tasks, but depending on [[User:HakunaWhiskey|HakunaWhiskey]] plans, we might push it forwards to close before [[PZwiki:Project Build 41 Update|Project Build 41 Update]] officially closes, as it seems to be much doable, we'll see!

So, silly old (not so old) [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] (thy author) made a boo-boo when trying to bypass the spam filter (no, I was not doing naughty stuff) in one of the core parts of the wiki, the bypassing methods resulted in some fairly minute, yet noticeable changes to the wiki, specifically the main page. Luckily for us wikioids (yes, we are wikioids now), Kirrus the Wizard of Esoteric Networking Magicks came riding over to our discord channel fixed it… (sorry for dragging that one out), so thank you Kirrus for my incompetence.
===Project Translations===
And finally, '''[[PZwiki:Project Translations|Project Translations]]''' – big behemoth to coordinate, [[User:Vibrance|Vibrance]] is waiting for the translation extension bundle to be tested by [[User:Kirrus|Kirrus]], no solid ETA though, so we'll see, as the whole project may need reworks, so it's better wait with major changes. However, there's been some new translators popping and a lot of work done. Let me summarize

=====Head/navbar/background=====
====Afrikaans====
Something else, pretty much everyone that uses the wiki regularly would’ve noticed, is the navbar/background template has been updated to a much nicer and slick design that is hopefully easier to read than the previous one, not that there was anything wrong with the old one Mr. [[User:Andrew323|Andrew323]] (creator of the template).
So far it's [[User:TungstenX|TungstenX]] translating some pages at the beginning of the month, but hopefully they will return for more!

====Page updates/changes====
====Simplified Chinese====
=====Vehicles=====
*[[User:KcFuture|KcFuture]] continuing to contribute some translations.
One of the most noticeable changes that have been made is the new vehicle pages that have finally been made. They’re all using the new vehicle infobox, along with an image of each vehicle variant and their vehicle IDs, which can be used to spawn them into the game using server commands. However, unfortunately the articles are still stubs and need more content before we can remove that beautiful new ‘Stub’ notice.
*[[User:Obiwan|Obiwan]] joining to contribute a lot of new translation, utilizing the existing templates in place.
*[[User:Auncer|Auncer]] contributing some fixes for [[Knox Event/zh-hans]] page.

=====Mechanics, electricals and metalworking items=====
====Traditional Chinese====
Along with the vehicles, we’ve also added an article for each [[Items#Mechanics|mechanic item]], both tools and parts. Some of these have more content than others, however the basics are on their which should satisfy that stirring question many players have had.
A little less up to date than the Simplified one, it also saw updates thanks to the [[User:A41133tw|A41133tw]] adding solid translation throughout the month, thank you!

Adding the mechanics articles has also lead to the addition of the long-awaited [[Items#Metalworking|metalworking articles]], which have been missing since… probably 2 years, when they were first added to the game. Along with metalworking though, we’ve also added ‘’most’’ of the [[Items#Electrical|electrical items]], [[radio]]s, [[walkie-talkie]]s and [[Television|TV]]s are still missing though as they’re a much larger task.
====French====
French saw much love this month, thanks to two great contributors, [[User:Quentinlamamy|Quentinlamamy]] and [[User:Dietrich|Dietrich]], thanks!

[[Items#Food|Food]]! Food has been one of the most up to date categories in the entire wiki for the longest time (since the disappearance of poor [[User:MalonyJenkins|MJ]]). So we’ve been working our butts off, asking for suggestions and collaborating on the discord channel, until we found a design we liked, along with a future update to the navigation path. While this is a much less interesting update than vehicles or electricals, this has been a massive task, and is still far from being completed.
====German====
German didn't see much translation this month, but thanks to [[User:Edgarogg|Edgarogg]] [[Muldraugh/de]] is now translated, thanks!

===The state of Project Zomboid===
====Korean====
Recently, [[build 40]] has been moved over to the [[Steam#'I Will Back Up My Save' branch|IWBUMS beta branch]], which is accessed by a lot more players. What this means for the wiki is that we still have a lot of time before we see the new animations being released, which will likely change a lot of what’s currently on the wiki (specifically [[clothing]] and [[weapons]]). However, with build 40 we may also see some changes to the current [[Farming|farming system]] which has been mentioned in a [https://projectzomboid.com/blog/2018/04/kitchen-sink-drama/ Thursdoid], although not confirmed as of yet. We will however, be seeing the new beautiful [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH_kxAocCO0&feature=youtu.be reflections on vehicles], which will mean all the current vehicle images will need to be replaced (dang it).
[[User:Atlas7|Atlas7]] mentioned on their talk page, that they are awaiting a child and taking a break from translations – first of all '''congratulations'''! It's understandable taking the break and thank you for announcing it, too!

===Going forward===
====Polish====
The [[Template:RecipeLookup|RecipeLookup template]] hasn’t seen any love lately, so hopefully some progress will be made on that over the next month. Currently, the food articles are the main focus, then we’ll probably move onto [[cooking]] and [[food]]. We may also see some changes to [[Knox County]], [[radio]], the addition of [[television]] and [[Knox Event]] (some beautiful lore), which some work has already been done for in the background.
Polish saw two new contributors joining and doing minor works, [[User:Matt Morgan|Matt Morgan]] and [[User:Jake Williams|Jake Williams]], thank you!

'''A quick note on the author's future status on the wiki:''' while I (Vaileasys) am and will continue to do my best for [[Project Zomboid]] and the PZwiki, I will be starting up a new job in my personal life, which means along with Uni, the updates I make to the wiki will likely dwindle down somewhat. Although, I will continue to play the game, read the dev blogs and make edits (especially if it’s something major) to the wiki. I will always still be available to contact.
====Brazilian Portugese====
Brazilian Portugese saw some useful translations thanks to [[User:Silocorb|Silocorb]]

- [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]] ([[User_talk:Vaileasys|talk]]) '''''Wiki Administrator'''''
====Russian====
}}
While [[User:Mark|Mark]] returned to some editing, they seems to only accidentially bring back the old revision of a page sand sadly not add anything else yet, but maybe in future we'll see more!

==July 2018==
====Spanish====
{{Community_news
Spanish saw three contributors adding various translation, [[User:Valiko2023|Valiko2023]] who joined us some time ago, but mostly [[User:Kesosdev|Kesosdev]] doing much work this month as well as [[User:ANGIELTOR|ANGIELTOR]] translating [[Nutrition/es]].

| Text = This is just a quick update regarding the changes to discord.
===Dedicated Discord Channel===
As the heading suggests, we have a discord channel dedicated to the PZwiki set up. This is somewhere we can go, whether you're a contributor or reader, to discuss changes, make suggestions, or ask questions. If you don't use discord, that's fine, you can still leave messages on discussion pages and the external wiki threads. The purpose of the discord channel is to have an instant messaging discussion, allowing us to collaborate more effectively and hopefully respond quicker.

You can join the channel conversation [https://discord.gg/RcEYbU here].
====Turkish====
Turkish seems really healthy thanks to the epic work done and continue to be done by [[User:Ksilem|Ksilem]], but also [[User:Mabik|Mabik]] and [[User:Counterr90|Counterr90]] contributing, great work guys!

Ukrainian saw some new work too, by a long-stanging [[User:NeGat1FF|NeGat1FF]], but also newly-joined [[User:Bayon558|Bayon558]] as well as [[User:Astrelsba|Astrelsba]], though accidentially putting it on the wrong page (though let's home that won't be deterring!).

| Text = After a long break, we're finally back with more news on the current state of the wiki.
===Wiki Administration===
You may have noticed a lack of [[PZwiki:administrators|administrators]] on the wiki for a while, which there is a very good reason for. Since the last update, [[User:Connall|Connall]] has been employed by [[The Indie Stone]] as a dev, which has taken up a large portion of his time. However, him and [[User:Kirrus|Kirrus]] will still be popping by and are always contactable, see their user pages for details.

So, who am I? If you've been keeping up with the [[Special:RecentChanges|logs]] over the last few months you may have noticed me, [[User:Vaileasys|Vaileasys]], making a lot of changes to the wiki, which I'll get into in a moment. I am a new administrator here on the wiki and will be frequently active, you may also see me on the [https://theindiestone.com/forums/ forums] and [https://steamcommunity.com/app/108600/discussions/ Steam]. Come say hello to me on my [[User_talk:Vaileasys|talk page]] and ask me anything you may be unsure about.

===Changes to the wiki===
I also updated some of the main pages, you can see the progress for remaining ones on [[PZwiki:Project Translations|Project Translations]] under each language headers (click them to see), at the moment of writing only 5 languages not being updated to the new format and some still requiring translations, but all are marked accordingly.
There have been a lot of changes made to the wiki so far, mostly regarding consistency. The [[PZwiki:Style guide|style guide]] has been updated, so check that out, as well, a number of [[Help:Contents|help]] articles have been prepared to help you learn the basics and get started editing quickly. I've also made some changes to the [[:Category:Boilerplates|boilerplates]], hopefully making pages less confusing to read and edit.

====Community stuff====
There was also some changes fore the [[MediaWiki:Tooltip-n-discord|Discord tooltip]], following the re-addition of Discord to sidebar as it's no longer present in the site notice, so you may want to check your translations there!
The [[PZwiki:Community_portal|community portal]] has seen a massive overhaul, making it easier to navigate to what you're looking for. All the contents of the old portal can still be found as subpages, including [[PZwiki:Things_to_do|things to do]] and [[PZwiki:Priority_issues|priority issues]].

[[PZwiki:Community_projects|Community projects]] are now finally up and running, these are projects run by you, the community, to focus on a particular section of the wiki based on your areas of expertise within [[Project Zomboid]]. Anyone is free to contribute to any of these projects or become the leader of any that are missing one, or create a new project.
===Other important works===
To get the community even more involved, we've decided to pick back up on the long since abandoned [[PZwiki:Userboxes|userboxes]] and [[Template:User_Award|awards]]. Userboxes are simply a small piece of code you can put on your [[Special:MyPage|user page]] as a communicative notice, which will help editors to collaborate more effectively.
You all probably noticed a new skin when logged out, as we changed the default to [[mw:Skin:Vector/2022|2022 variant of the old Vector skin]], as this is the skin we'll focus the most with improvements. You can still change to any of older skins including Vector legacy (2010) in [[Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rendering-skin|Preferences]] if you like the old one, but expect some changes in the nearest feature, especially the background one, as we're preparing to move to the new header.

===The state of Project Zomboid===
We've also added the [[PZwiki:Rules#Wiki spirit|Wiki spirit]] section to the rules page, as we had some minor disagreements, but it seems to be all solved thankfully, but it's great to remember what the wiki is about, coopration on bringing something great together!
Sadly, Project Zomboid is several updates ahead of the wiki, therefore we ask anyone, no matter your experience, to check out the [[PZwiki:Priority_issues|priority issues]] or [[PZwiki:Community_projects|projects]] on the [[PZwiki:Community_portal|community portal]].
As I'm sure everyone would have noticed, Project Zomboid was updated to [[build 39]] at the start of June, this update added [[vehicles]] along with plenty of other minor changes and additions. As a response, we've organised the [[PZwiki:Project_Vehicles_and_Mechanics|Vehicles and Mechanics]] project in hopes to get this update covered quickly.
Additionally, we've already been able to get our hands on the new [[weather]] mechanics that will be coming with [[build 40]]. You can find how to opt into that [https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/24075-released-weather-test-build/ here]. Be sure to [https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php?/forum/85-bug-reports/ report any bugs] you encounter.

===Going forward===
I also updated the [[PZwiki:Administrators|Administrators]] page to list both me and Vaileasys as equal, so do contact us if you have any question / problem to solve first, [[User:Kirrus|Kirrus]] being mostly for the technical side. If you encounter any problem on Discord, especially the one we can't solve there or when we're not around, do contact the Spiffo bot to get through our awesome moderators there, they prove to be helpful if things arise!
I will continue to make more changes behind the scenes, the somewhat broken [[Template:RecipeLookup|RecipeLookup]] in particular. I've also got some more plans to further improve the boilerplates/page layout. If you'd like to see what I, personally, am working on, you can check out my [[User:Vaileasys|user page]].
In regards to these news articles, we may decide to make this a monthly thing, reporting on changes that have been made on the wiki along with the state of the game.

One of the important new pages, you may have not noticed that was deeply researched is the [[Easter eggs]] – there's been also some updates to the [[The Indie Stone]], thanks to the awesome works done by [[User:LethalCitizen|LethalCitizen]], but also help from people around Discord, including [[User:Kirrus|Kirrus]], [[User:Angostura|Angostura]] and [[User:Calvy|Calvy]], so '''make sure to check the [[Easter eggs]]''' page up, it's also linked on the main page.

==September 2014==
Also, [[User:Darkonion5|Darkonion5]] created the new [[Foraging items]] page, originally on their talk page, it seems nice for [[foraging]] that we will see some cleanups following the hopefully soon™ skill page updates.

| Text = Another one of these the very next day, pretty surprising in all honesty. You probably won't be seeing these once a day but seeing as there's a fair bit going on it does seem to warrant an update from day to day. Interesting in it's own little way. Anyway, what's been going on today? Well first off pzwiki has a new Twitter account, for quite some time we had the link in the sidebar that said "Follow us on Twitter" I had never clicked on the link. Turns out, I should of. It had been linking to an old wiki administrator account, that was a cross between a personal account and wiki. It was all rather... odd. After a discussion with brilliant blindcoder (you would know him for his excellent Project Zomboid map.) and the magnificent man with the rocking body nasKo I decided to start an account for the wiki. The account can be found at: [http://twitter.com/ZomboidWiki @ZomboidWiki][[File:TwitterIcon.png|16px|link=http://twitter.com/ZomboidWiki|ZomboidWiki]] so follow it!

The Twitter account will mainly be used to notify users of major changes to the wiki, along with general information.
The here's the summary of other stuff from Vaileasys:
<blockquote>
'''Infoboxes'''

If you visit the wiki semi-frequently, you can see that the main page has been rejuvenated a bit, to make it look a little bit more sleek. Hopefully everybody will enjoy the changes that have been made. Should you seem something out of place, make sure to pass on a note to me. I'll be sure to look into the issue. You can thank [[User:Bowlympicshero|Bowlympicshero]] for the update to the front page and for his work, I introduced and awarded the Front Page Designer award, so congratulations to him.
For a while I've been working on consolidating all the item infoboxes, as it was confusing for editors to know which infobox to use, and a pain to maintain/update each time a new version of the game was released that changed and added something, but was shelved in September 2023.

[[User:Nightmare|Nightmare]] has put in considerable work into the Items page at the moment, adding class names, statistics and also doing translation work for the German version. It's all been pretty impressive so props to him.
Early this year, [[User:Vibrance|Vibrance]] created a new infobox metatemplate suite, which improves the previous process of creating an infobox, along with changes to the styling which compliments other stylistic changes we've been making, and collapsible sections. The biggest feature though, is the ability to click on the icon and display the associated model for the variant.

I believe that's all for now. Until next time.
Many infoboxes (not just items) have already been changed to this new one, however there's still quite a few to go, along with adding the model variants to the infobox. I'll also be working on more infoboxes, such as tiles/furniture, moodles, traits, skills, and any others we may have a need for.

| Text = Hello again, time for another quick update as we integrate more and more items into the wiki. At the moment we've had a couple of users continue work on things such as the items page, which have been looking pretty impressive recently. In any case I figure I would do a quick rundown of what's happened.

A project page has been created, but at the moment it's just temp as I get more things written down and integrated for the use of projects. What are projects though?
The [[Template:Infobox item|item infobox]] isn't ready to be translated yet, but I'm working on that on its [[Template:Infobox item/sandbox|sandbox]]. Any of the infoboxes that are ready to translate, will have the Translation guide section on it (same goes for any templates).

Projects are supposed to be a centralized page in which leaders can create tasks and contributors can be on the same page. It allows people to know what should be focused on and what problems people are aware for. It allows for an easier standardization and a central discussion point on changes that can be made, whether info wise or design wise.
====Minor fixes====

Hopefully no one is missed, and make sure to check [[Special:ActiveUsers|Active users list]] for an up-to-date list of users being active in the last 30 days!

It will hopefully make people more encouraged to contribute to project and will give a central goal that people can work towards. I will be rolling it out in a couple of weeks time and bringing pages under certain projects. Nothing might happen (due to the number of consistent editors is certainly possible) but lets hope not.
====Affiliates====
Still currently with one but stable affiliate, the [https://fallout.wiki/ Independent Fallout Wiki] celebrates it's first anniversary, here's the warm words from [[User:Kate Aces|Kate Aces]], administrator of the [https://fallout.wiki/ Independent Fallout Wiki].

Some of things we have pulled from MediaWiki are Ambox Templates, these offer new information boxes that people can access and use on pages to make things look a little bit more slick. Documentation has been included and you should find everything you need at [[Template:Ambox]] so be sure to check that out.
<blockquote>
Hooray! We released our Annual Report and celebrated our 1 year anniversary! That is about all from us. Can't wait to see the new summary!
</blockquote>

I will also be rolling out a new main page design that was spearheaded by [[User:Bowlympicshero|Bowlympicshero]] tomorrow at some point. The final design (short of any objection) can be found: [[User_talk:Connall#Main_Page|here]]
If you are fancy from PZwiki editing break, and are in a Fallout mood, make sure to check them out!

As per the last post, I have been looking into user badges and I have in fact pulled over the user boxes template from MediaWiki as well. As a test run I have created an administrator user badge that can be found on my page [[User:Connall|here]] and [[User:Kirrus|Kirrus]] page as well. While there is a third admin by the name of Pianoman, due to his inactivity I have not put a badge on his profile. While Kirrus is an admin, anything to do with the wiki should be coming to me. Kirrus is here to make sure that the server boxes are running as smooth as possible and less to do with general editing around the wiki.

| Text = Hello there, I have decided to open up this community news section, where we will post anything management wise that happens with the wiki.

There will be a few things going on over the next coming weeks and months that you should hopefully look forward to. One thing we will be looking at is documenting Project Zomboids LUA Modding and hopefully getting at least something started on that front. I will also be exploring the idea of "Projects" and "User Badges" as a way to insentivise or at least help users show off a little on their profile for the wiki.
If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

I have cleaned up the administrators list, removing those who were no longer an active member on the wiki.
Some work also needs to be done to reduce the width of some tables, which will increase the use of icons in the heading, along with a guide to the meaning of the icons, which will be especially helpful for mobiles users that can't see the tooltips.

As always please feel free to ask my anything, if you are interested in something being added on the wiki, feel free to visit my talk page.
If time permits, I'll also be taking a deep dive into the changes coming in [[build 42]], to hopefully be more prepared for its release.
</blockquote>

Thanks,
As far as I go, I'll mostly be continuing patrolling changes and focus mostly on [[PZwiki:Project Build 41 Update|Project Build 41 Update]] from now on.

February 2024(3 March 2024)

Welcome again to the monthly summary! February is technically the shortest month in the year (less with the leap day this year), though with me writing the summary on each Sunday, I guess it's more dependent on the weeks' layout than the days alone. Anyway, this we got a lot to cover this month, so let's get into it!

This month started with some PZwiki awards cleanups, originally introduced by Connall as userboxes back in 2014 and slightly brought back in 2018, they were introduced as barnstars by Ikip late last year, but were to expansive for us, so instead of removing, I trimmed them down. There will be some more cleanups done later down the line, especially since they aren't used really widely, but since a few users seemed to at least get fond of them, I kept them, giving credit where it's due.

Next, thanks to nasKo we got new roles on Discord for wiki admins and wiki editors – the latter will be used to announce important messages and monthly summaries, so that's nice to have. We had some organizational/coordination updates too, more on that below.

Then, next main thing down the line was introduction of automated distribution template thanks to Calvy, carrying on the loose idea from Carina marked in PZwiki tasks page for a while. The script used also brought back a need of coordinated place on GitHub for those scripts – we might get a proper repository somewhere down the line, but right now they are being collected as a part of this list. They are slowly being updated on item pages.

Which bring us to another huge job Calvy was performing this month, utilizing CalvyBot to perform thousands of mundane tasks with clever regex scripts with Pywikibot, that brought us tons of minor fixes but also helping tremendously with both Project Navigation and Categories and removal of language bar lately (which is now replaced by a sidebar), as well as deploying new infoboxes…

…Which again, brings us yet another point, being the new infoboxes! By now, pretty much all the infoboxes are moved to the newer look and functionality, with the old ones being deprecated and removed soon™.

And another not-project-related work by Calvy is elaborating on Vaileasys idea of adding item tags – these will probably be especially useful on build 42 with the new crafting systems, but are starting to be useful right now!

And finally, before getting to the project summaries, we also had some organizational changes:

The Tasks got some cleanups too, some things moved to projects properly.

Project Build 41 Update

Following the leadership changes in Project Build 41 Update, I updated the job board and listed everythin that remains to be done. It's mostly a few missing items (some of which can be moved to build 42 project if they don't make it, as they only be spawned in debug mode and by admin in multiplayer, as well as bringing skills, items, recipes and tiles up to date, some of the tasks being shared with the Project Spiffo's Construction Crew and Project Seat Yourself Furniture, so some focus could shift there eventually.

Some items, mainly clothing, were split to separate pages too, following the new infobox, codebox and distribution deployments, to not host too much on one page. There will be a few more that will be split, some missing pages updated and afterwards the main focus will be updating the pages to 41.78.16 from Category:Version.

We also don't announce the project through the site notice now, as it's closer than ever to being finished!

Aside from that, we had some valuable contributions, too, thank you!

  • Stock creating Bowling Shoes page.
  • DevoTan adding some items and updating what's needed to be updated ammo pages.
  • Calvy helping with some pages in between too and adding missing models slowly.

Project Locations and Maps

The Project Locations and Maps is probably the most active one, sadly resulting in one contributor being blocked from editing because of some mishaps, but other than that it's getting healthy management of ThinkDock, including article rewrites and image categorization and contributions from other users.

Here's the summary from ThinkDock:

Hi all, ThinkDock here. While there were a few more heated debates and some speed bumps along the way, including an unfortunate loss of a contributor, January was a great month for locations and maps! Here's a quick summary:

Unfortunately, I am sad to announce that our long-time contributor Ikip was banned. His contributions were greatly appreciated, and will live on in the reworks and templates that we continue to use.

Calvy Finished up the rest of the first pass of Louisville, so now all that needs to be done is formatting and other cleanups. However, he has mostly been busy with clothing and other items. That doesn't mean he hasn't knocked it completely out of the park with brainstorming, though! Thanks for all your help!

Ksilem Also helped out by reworking the Laundromat page, as well as adding on to various pages, including some Doe Valley and Fallas Lake works. This will make it a lot easier to complete these towns faster. They also did lots of brainstorming in the Discord. Thanks!

Vaileasys and Faalagorn helped with some brainstorming as well, mainly with figuring out what categories will be relevant for the project and which ones we have and don't have. Thanks, it's great to have admin support!

I also got moderator privileges on the Map Project (Thanks blindcoder!) so I will be adding more and more POIs on there as my time frees up. I also added the site maintenance task on the job board, so if you want to help out with behind the scenes stuff as well, feel free to, as now I have a documented list available.

See y'all next month!

Other than that, there were two more old-time contributors helping us as well, as well as one newcomer fixing location coordinates, those help too!

I also helped with some image miscategorization lately, which should help the Project Navigation and Categories too!

Project Modding

Like I mentioned before, the Project Modding project didn't get much attention sadly. It's currently looking for new ownership, so if you think you are up for the task of managing it, let us know either here on the wiki or on the Discord.

It did see a contribution to the active list of Tiledefs in use by mods page by Glytch3r this month, thanks!

Project Navigation and Categories

The Project Navigation and Categories saw probably the most attention this month, the layout was finally pretty much finalized, with the only remaining ones being clothing (and unrelated Template:Body location changes), and materials intricacies when it comes to the item and some cleanups to other categories which will be narrowed down the line, possibly by other projects. Here's the summary from the project leader, Vaileasys:

We've had a lot of progress with the project this month, largely thanks to Calvy and the use of his bot swapping the header and updating categories. This month we've completed:

Other than some minor adjustments, the last major category left is Category:Clothing, which has been put on hold temporarily until we finalise the layout.

There was some categorization decisions related to Project Locations and Maps.

Project Seat Yourself Furniture

As expected not much moved in the Project Seat Yourself Furniture yet, but it got some minor job progress mainly thanks to the rapid progress in the Project Spiffo's Construction Crew and some in the Project Build 41 Update. Hopefully after both of them will be reaching mature stage, this project will get back to spotlight again!

Project Spiffo's Construction Crew

A lot has happened for the Project Spiffo's Construction Crew, it's yet far from being finished, especially as it all correlates with different projects and side projects, but it's catching speed real quick. Let me get the summary from the current project leader, Calvy:

G'day editors. It's been a good month over in SCC land. After finishing Project Electricals and Transmission I took up the role of leader from HakunaWhiskey, who I'd like to thank for their work on the project before me.

By contributor count, we're the smallest project (besides the on hold modding project), and it was clear that construction had been neglected for quite some time. Due to this, a large portion of this month has been dedicated to getting a good framework to build off of, including a full overhaul of the job board. So far the completed work this month includes;

I'd like to thank both Vaileasys and Faalagorn for their help across the project, and coordination with their respective projects to standardise articles. As well as;

For the coming month we'll be focusing on articles themselves, we still have missing articles from B41s release, and a large list of articles to update and improve.

Overall a really good start to the project, and looking forward there's a lot of work left to go, but I have no doubts that we can get it done.

Thanks, Calvy.

It would be nice to thanks ThreeLime doing some meaningful contributions to the somewhat-neglected-yet-popular carpentry page!

Project Translations

The Project Translations didn't see a huge changes with Vibrance waiting Kirrus to let us test the Translate extension before evaluating it being deployed, to hopefully make keeping translations up to date easier, but it might take some time. It also made Ksilem focus more on helping with English pages, including the ones from Project Locations and Maps which is important task for a healthy basis for other translators!

Anyway, that doesn't mean there wasn't any strides being done – the {{Languages}} template is finally being retired in favor of the sidebar, done by Calvy's bot and I'll finally get myself to update the remaining 7 main pages to the new format, to retire the old templates. We're also slowly moving away from the translation database from {{Translate}} and {{T}} in favor for {{ll}} and retiring {{Sp}} in favor of {{lcs}} template.

As far as specific translations though, we saw some activity as usual, thank you everyone!

Traditional Chinese

  • A41133tw contributing some translations as usual this month, nice!

Simplified Chinese

Czech

  • NyaCZ joining and adding some Czech translations – some templates usage had to be corrected, but it's understandable, as they are confused sometimes.

French

German

Brazilian Portugese

Russian

Spanish

As well as Teromax34 coming back from a break, so hopefully we'll see more, Spanish being one of the most healthy languages supported on the wiki!

Turkish

Other important works

I summarized all the most important works above, this time, but let the Vaileasys summarize his work below:

Outside of the category project, most of my time this month has been spent on adding/improving infoboxes and misc work on various other templates.

The bigger changes are:

Infoboxes:

Other templates:

  • Navbox skills: added translatability.
  • Transcript: template to consistently format transcripts.
  • Mood: used to calculate the in-game moodle effect from values in game files.
  • Experience: added calculations for values in media files.
  • Tag link: template to simplify adding links to item tags.

As a side project I've been developing a parser for the scripts files, along with complimentary scripts. The purpose of this is for the item list and simplify updating values elsewhere, such as tables on on the weapons page.

Minor fixes

With that done, let's get directly into all the little but important fixes:

As always, you can also see the active users list page for the last 30 days.

I think I forgot to mention all the prior contributions of the long-standing user LethalCitizen, being focused on Easter eggs, but Lethal also helped improve the page for The Indie Stone, and creating the Formosa Interactive, General Arcade, The Eccentric Ape, and Tanglewood Games! Thanks a lot for all the contributions!

Also Calvy again helped us fixing some of the Spiffo and Discord page, thanks!

Affiliates

Nothing much changed here, but the Independent Fallout Wiki is being healthy as always, and so are we. Here's a short note from Kate Aces, an admin of the Fallout Wiki:

HELL YEAH this month we are celebrating our two year anniversary and hit 65,000 articles!

Congratulations on reaching 65k! That's a huge number of pages to maintain!

Future works

Next month should mark further style changes to the look of the wiki – I'll finish moving main pages to the new format, we'll finish deploying the new header, removing language toolbar in favor of sidebar and finally re-introduce the background image, so stay tuned! Some server-side things will have to wait, as Kirrus will be away for a week or two, so barred some emergency not much help here, but there's a lot that we have on mind, so we'll all have our hands occupied.

I'll try hard on finalizing the Build 41 updates and clearing tasks, to provide a blank canvas for future build 42 update too, so hopefully we can speed it up. I'll try collaborating more with the various other projects, including the PZMap and the overall community and developers, so a bright future is ahead of us!

Thank you for making it to the end reading it all, see you around on Wiki and Discord, and in the next month summary! —Faalagorn/ 18:07, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

January 2024(4 February 2024)

Welcome everyone to the summary of the first whole month of 2024! Now that we're deep in 2024, I archived all the 2023 monthly summaries to the 2023 archive, and changed the header names so they refer more to what the news were about. Hopefully for 2024 we will have a full 12 of the monthly summaries, with all the project summaries started in late 2023!

Despite some minor setbacks, this month was again much productive, let's start with the projects summary.

Project Electricals and Transmission

First off, let's congratulate to Calvy for manning up and bringing the final push for Project Electricals and Transmission and everyone else for contributing! The next in line will probably be Project Spiffo's Construction Crew, good to have another project closed, pushing focus to other ones and opening room for potential new ones in the future!

Project Build 41 Update

Project Build 41 Update again saw much love, thanks from the combined effort of Angostura, some minor additions by Stabbyson, Absolute Lambda updating missing items, Calvy's massive work, and Vaileasys hard work elsewhere, as well as everyone else contributing anything minor – you all probably saw the new infoboxes, codeboxes, models, as well as version updates – it's hard to close it totally just yet, especially as it intertwine so closely with other projects, and side activities, but it is close enough to be taken out of the everlasting site notice, combined with inability to translate it reliably and taking some space, especially with the new skin improvements (more about it below). I may also be the one trying to push it forward in the coming weeks, probably taking it off Vaileasys's shoulders (who's busy with Project Navigation and Categories and some template works, currently focused on adjusting new infoboxes and skins, which you probably noticed already), after our brief discussion for those following us on the official Discord server.

Project Locations and Maps

It's hard not to mention Project Locations and Maps without a great dose of admiration how much dedication is being put into updating it, here's the summary from the project leader, ThinkDock1721!

Hi all, ThinkDock here. While there were a few heated debates and some speed bumps along the way, January was a monster of a month for locations and maps! Here's a quick summary:

First off, I want to give an enormous thanks to Calvy for willingly tackling Louisville. It's quite the juggernaut, but they've managed to not only make a table with all the businesses, but also began the arduous process of elaborating on all the businesses so they're no longer stubs! There will be some cleanups required as always, but it's a monumental effort for just one person to take on. Thank you so so much!

Our long-time contributor Ikip categorized almost all of the location pages, and also helped out with some minor edits here and there. Thanks!

We also had some minor edits and small contributions from the following users:

Thanks everyone!

I personally completed my project of finishing all the spawn towns, managing to get all of both Muldraugh and West Point done this month. (Late nights galore!) I also restructured the project page a bit.

As for the plan for the future, with Ikip categorizing all the locations themselves and Calvy tackling most of Louisville, I'll be free to do some collaboration with the folks at PZWiki:Project Navigation and Categories to categorize all the images and business logos that were missed by the bots.

After that, It'll be on to the minor towns of March Ridge and Valley Station, and then off to Louisville for some cleanups!

However, once that's done, I'll be steering the project more towards challenge maps, site maintenance, and minor tasks until build 42 arrives with the new towns we all desperately want. It will be updated on the job board once I have all the ideas and tasks worked out.

That's just me though, feel free to use the project's talk page or the Discord to discuss ideas! See you all next week!

(please help it's 2:48AM right now and I have work at 7AM, I haven't even slept and I'm on for a 10 hour shift please help)

Hopefully ThinkDock will be able to get some rest though, especially we're on the right track starting a collaboration with Blindcoder to bring updates to POIs on the epic official map up to date with the ones done in the wiki – we'll start with making the Project Zomboid Map Project page updated and more visible, so more people can contribute to both the wiki and map project, which will be more than important after build 42 which is tentatively scheduled for the hopefully first half of this year in IWBUMS, which seems quite soon™.

Also, while minor, thanks to Missold for contributing description for Dentistry, Perfk for contributing one missing location for Wrecking yard, Chomasyean8 contributing some bits Louisville border camp, and Insp175 for adding note for the Kentucky State Prison page – those bits help too, thank you!

Project Modding

Project Modding sadly continues to be a tad neglected and most likely won't see a big push/update and stay open way past build 42 (which will surely bring a lot of modding updates!), though it's understandable most of the editors want to focus on adding content and modders do their job, but there were some minor additions nevertheless:

As always, thank you even for the tiniest contributions!

Project Navigation and Categories

Project Navigation and Categories finally saw the amount of work needed this time, thanks to the hard work of Vaileasys – while not yet finished, we expect it being finished soon. There's a brief summary of the works from Vaileasys.

Categories

The category project has finally received some major progress. We have the category tree mostly completed and have implemented almost every category, with just some items left. The big ones left are "Equipment/Tools", "Materials" and "Clothing". As part of this project, we're also adding the new Template:Header/sandbox2
