A hand axe is a one-handed weapon and tool. The weapon can be attached to the left or right slot of a Belt for quick access and weight reduction.

Chopping trees
A hand axe is a decent choice when chopping trees and collecting logs to turn into planks using a saw. It does 15 damage per swing. For comparison, a regular axe deals 35.
Breaking doors
A hand axe is a decent choice when breaking down doors. It does 20 damage per swing. For comparison, a regular axe deals 35.
Distribution
- The best method of finding a hand axe is looting places like hardware stores and industrial locations such as warehouses, factories and storage units. It can also sometimes be found in garages.
- Hand axes can also be found inside of barricaded buildings and carpenter's houses.
- Occasionally, some zombies can be found with hand axes stuck to them.
