Overview

The player can reduce boredom by -5 for each line of dialog when in the vicinity of a television playing the VHS.

The VHS can be used with an appropriate television to play the dialog of a recording of a WBLN News program detailing the events of the Raleigh Outbreak before being interrupted by a numbers station.

Effective chance calculations are based off of default loot settings and median zombie density. The higher the density of zombies in an area, the higher the effective chance of an item spawning. Chance is also influenced by the lucky and unlucky traits.

Trivia

The setting of the VHS is during the Raleigh Outbreak of 1990, a fictional outbreak that happened in the game's world, meaning the tape or the contents within it should be from 1990; three years before the events of Project Zomboid.
Richard Gershwin and Dawn Stevenson are reporters on WBLM News that are also present during Knox Event.
Portion of Classified M1A1 broadcast can be heard partway through the tape.
The tape references an outbreak in Libya in 1989, which seems to be a similar outbreak that happened in the world of Project Zomboid.
