Content
Triple-N starts by interviewing multiple people around the exclusion zone. They have a more skeptical view of the Knox Event than WBLN News. They also cover the statement given by General John McGrew and the President of The United States of America.
In an interview with Professor John Ramirez, the host attempts to get as much information as they can, while the professor claims it is classified. The host also questions a possible link to chemical testing in the area during the Vietnam war. This is denied by the professor.
Regular updates with Judge Matt Hass praise the army for their work, urging citizens that all is under control.
Day 4 (13 of July) begins with a heavily distorted segment. Later in the day a new segment begins, claiming that "The truth has emerged" before going to Kristy the on scene reporter.
Kirsty verifies reports of violence within the exclusion zone. She confirms that those infected with the Knox infection turn to violence before moving to an interview with an escapee from the exclusion zone. Day 4 ends with a statement from the channel about the Knox event and the danger of transmission.
Triple-N get an exclusive look inside the exclusion zone. They show an abandoned gas station and a women around the corner who used to work there. They describe her as being blank and angry before being interrupted by multiple rounds of gunfire. A loud growl is heard before the host screams and the segment ends.
They return later and confirm they have lost contact with Kristy. They then cover a huge crowd attacking the civilian camp from inside the event zone.
On day 6 (15 of July) Kristy returns with information about multiple instances of attacks from people that have been infected. Later she confirms that the Knox infection is spreading without fluid contact. A refugee confirms that her father was infected but had never even seen an infected person. At the end of this broadcast Kristy signs off with a cough. Day 6 ends with Judge Matt Hass calling for people to arm themselves and hide.
An audio recording from Kristy is played, she says that her camera man Duke had been infected, but it looks like some people are immune. She ends panicked, stating "they've seen me". Later it is broadcaster that similar symptoms have been found in the United Kingdom and Somalia.
On day 8 (17 of July) there are only two broadcasts. Both are unintelligible apart from the network sign off.
The next broadcast is not until day 11 (20 of July), when an automatic broadcast begins to play.
"This is a recorded broadcast. It will be set to repeat. An unknown plague known as The Knox Infection has taken a hold on America. It is... the stuff of nightmares. If you are still alive... If the fever didn't get to you... It all rests on you... Just please... Not now. Please not now. No. Please. Find a way to survive. Please. God Bless America."
This message repeats for last time on day 12 (21 of July) and then no broadcast returns.

Joan:
This is Triple-N.
We're going straight to Kentucky for this developing story.
Kirsty Cormick, are you there?
Kirsty:
I am Joan. It's 48 hours since this all began.
A community laid low with an unknown illness.
A military perimeter set up almost overnight.
Then the rumors of civilian confusion and bizarre activity within the zone.
There are helicopters overhead, scientists in hazmat suits...
This county has been split in two, and folk are scared.
Interviewee:
My daughter and my grandchildren are in there!
I was staying at my fella's and... I was gonna go back but...
Phones are still out.
What's going on in there?
What's so bad they can't even pick up the phone?
Joan:
Well further to that interview...
Knox Telecommunications claim the lines are down for long-planned improvement works.
Terrible timing, or something more?
You'll find out here...
... on Triple-N
Time: 06:00 – 11:30
Announcer:
Judge Matt Hass - on Triple-N!
The voice of reason!
Judge Matt Hass:
So what is it? I'm no scientist...
I didn't listen in class. Too busy on the Football field.
We know folks are ill.
We know it's widespread.
We know no-one could get out while the soldiers rolled on in.
We know they're back on their feet, but we also know there's confusion.
I'd be confused too, if I woke up and someone had built a military cordon round me!
But they've got scientists to talk to now. Guys in chemical suits.
They've got the best in the business. Heck, the world...
... in there to fix this whole thing up.
So let's support our boys, people.
This thing, let's call it 'The Knox Event', feels like a powder keg.
Too many people shouting 'conspiracy', hearing unverified gunshots.
No situation is perfect people.
This is a war. A war on whatever this thing is.
And, together, it is a war the United States will win.
Announcer:
That was Judge Matt Hass. Good evening, you're on...
... Triple-N.
July 9 1993
Date: July 9, 1993
Time: 00:00 – 06:00
Joan:
This is Triple-N.
The outbreak of the 'non-lethal' Knox Event infection is still contained.
There's no word of 'illness' and 'confusion' outside the Event Zone.
There is, however, a panic.
There's fear in people's faces as they once again camp out...
... in school halls, trailers and Army tents.
It's more than two days now since these people heard the voices...
... of many of their families, loved ones and friends.
Interviewee:
They could be dead in there!
Sure, power and water are still on.
But what if they're too sick to eat?
I got told they've got scientists in there talking to them.
The guy said 'there's no way they're going hungry in there'.
But all we have is the word of these... dudes with guns!
Where the hell's the President in all this?
He should be down here with me! With me in this damn tent!
Joan:
It's a sad state of affairs down there.
Back after these messages...

Date: July 9, 1993
Time: 06:00 – 12:00
John:
Good morning. This is Triple-N.
The Knox Event Exclusion Zone is STILL in place.
Officials remain silent on the impact of an outbreak...
... described as 'non-lethal' with symptoms of 'panic' and 'confusion'.
Kirsty Cormick is in Kentucky.
Kirsty:
A strange scene here south of Louisville.
Roads blocked by military vehicles.
Barriers and fences once intended for use overseas...
...deployed around a no-go area deep inside Kentucky.
And dead in the center?
The small towns of Muldraugh and West Point...
... and the bases and training facilities of the Army itself.
I'm here in a camp of displaced families, and they're angry.
Interviewee1:
We just want to go home. That's all!
Why can't we talk to them?
Interviewee2:
What's the worst thing they could do?
Cut off the phone lines!
Do they want us to panic?
Interviewee3:
Just let me talk to my son!
Kirsty:
Military officials have told us to expect a full statement this afternoon.
Until then this is Kirsty Cormick for Triple-N on the Knox Event line.
Joan:
Thank you Kirsty.
Now, amidst angry scenes in Washington and a storm of Republican protest...
We are expecting word from the President, following crisis meetings...
...with experts from the Center for Disease Control at the White House.
More developments as they happen...
... on Triple-N.
Date: July 9, 1993
Time: 12:00 – 18:00
Joan:
This is Triple-N.
We're here with some breaking news.
General McGrew has just finished speaking. Let's go over to the Knox Event Exclusion line.
Kirsty:
Thank you Joan.
General John McGrew has confirmed 'panic' and 'confusion' inside the Zone.
With NO confirmation of the violent scenes some claim to have witnessed.
And still no reasoning behind the communication blackout:
McGrew:
I am making this statement at 11AM on the 14th July 1993.
There are many rumors circulating. Many falsehoods.
This is an appeal for calm.
I can confirm there has been an outbreak.
The ailment is, as yet, unidentified.
It is flu-like. It leads to panic. It leads to confusion.
There is NO evidence of fatalities within the Exclusion Zone.
We are using judged and judicious force to maintain the border.
Warning shots have been fired.
No civilians have been harmed.
We must ensure that this infection is not allowed to spread.
I am in hourly contact with the President on this matter.
The no-fly zone will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
At this time, we will take no questions.
Kirsty:
Are the General's responses enough for America?
Those forced to stay in Army issue tents around me...
... and those evacuated to the North seem to be saying 'No'.
Back to the studio.
Joan:
Kirsty Cormick there on the Knox Event boundary.
We'll be keeping you updated throughout the day...
... on Triple-N.
Date: July 9, 1993
Time: 18:00 – 23:30
Announcer:
Judge Matt Hass - on Triple-N!
The voice of reason!
Judge Matt Hass:
I've met General John McGrew - many times.
He is a fine man.
When he says there have been no fatalities from the infection - he means it.
That man's career has earned enough medals to block the noon-day sun.
He's no liar.
This precautionary exclusion zone is there to protect us.
I'm sorry for the people inside. Truly I am.
Running a fever, feeling confused, being trapped...
But this is clearly in the nation's interest.
The greater good.
I've heard a lot of people asking - 'Why can't we know?'
Why can't the Government just say: 'Here's the problem'?
There's bravery in silence, folks.
They're busy looking in on this... let's call it a 'Knox Event'
They don't have time to look back out.
They're relying on us to keep calm and have faith.
I do have faith, and as an American...
... so should you.
I've been Judge Matt Hass...
... on Triple-N.
Announcer:
That was Judge Matt Hass. Good evening, you're on Triple N.
While we've been on air: a statement from the White House.
The President has claimed he is 'understandably distressed' by the Knox Event.
President:
This is a distressing time.
The situation in Kentucky is unexpected and saddening.
My first thoughts are with the friends and families of those within the Zone.
People have been separated, folk have been evacuated...
I understand the difficulties facing us.
However, I have faith in the fine people of the Center for Disease Control...
... to get to the root of the panic and confusion within the Exclusion Zone.
I have faith in our Servicemen and Women to fulfill their duties...
... and for General John McGrew to command them with the foresight and dedication...
... he has shown throughout his exemplary career.
It is a distressing time America, but you are in safe hands.
Thank you.

Joan:
Good morning. This is Triple-N.
As the Knox Event enters its fifth day. Anger is at boiling point.
America demands answers. Reporting from Washington: Daniel Sinclair.
Daniel:
Republicans in the building behind me are in uproar today.
Their problem? The 'do nothing' agenda of the President.
To many, the President's address yesterday simply was not enough:
President:
This is a distressing time.
The situation in Kentucky is unexpected and saddening.
My first thoughts are with the friends and families of those within the Zone.
People have been separated, folk have been evacuated...
I understand the difficulties facing us.

Thank you.
Daniel:
Critics of the administration point to at best an inability to share information...
... and at worst a reluctance.
Back to the studio.
Joan:
Thank you Daniel.
Now, Triple-N has received a statement overnight from the State Department.
General John McGrew have apologised for a 'lack of clarity'.
He underlines that the unspecified outbreak IS contained.
Military Health officials state that fatalities within the Zone are...
...NOT currently a concern.
Later today we've been promised a full and frank conversation...
...talking to one of the scientists operating on the boundary.
More developments as they happen...
... on Triple-N.
Date: July 10, 1993
Time: 06:00 – 12:00
John:
This is Triple-N.
Flu-like'. 'Panic'. 'Confusion'.
An unknown communicable illness that has cut through Kentucky communities...
...forcing evacuations, and the creation of a huge exclusion zone.
Yet STILL no concrete word on what the Knox Event is, or how it spreads.
Worse? Revelations from a Dr Jack Galbraithe - a former scientist with the CDC.
He's reported as saying: 'America is not ready for this'.
'We haven't been ready for a long time.'
How does that sound to you on the ground at the Event boundary, Kirsty Cormick?
Kirsty:
Well Joan, it's exactly that sort of rumor that's not helping.
People just don't know what to do, and the military don't know what to do with them.
Some have been taken to Louisville - but most?
They want to stay - in tents, in local buildings. This is their home.
Or, at least as near to their homes as the Army will allow them.
And they're angry. Real angry.
Interviewee:
They're not tellin' us nothing!
Every day like the last!
I got a business in there, in West Point!
I got a home! A family!
I've got a dog too, and they took it for no reason at all!
We want answers!
Kirsty:
This is Kirsty Cormick on the Knox Event line. Back to the studio.
Joan:
Thank you Kirsty.
Now, coming up - the scientist that says 'it IS contained'...
... on Triple-N.
Date: July 10, 1993
Time: 12:00 – 18:00
Joan:
This is Triple-N, here with Professor John Ramirez.
What's going on Professor?
Can you describe the illness that's spreading in there?
Prof. Ramirez:
I'm sorry, but that's all classified.
I can confirm, though, that it's a fever. And initial symptoms can turn to panic and confusion.
We have experts on-site.
Joan:
And what of the rumors of violence inside the Exclusion Zone?
Prof. Ramirez:
We've got the spread of the illness contained...
...and the best minds we've got working on it.
Right now we have NO reason to believe folks won't recover.
The way this started was highly contagious.
And that's why we, quickly and efficiently, locked the place down.
Joan:
During the Vietnam War there was a lot of chemical testing conducted in this area.
Is there a link?
Prof. Ramirez:
We don't think so, no ma'am.
Joan:
Thank you.
We're going straight over to Washington now, and Daniel Sinclair.
Daniel - can you hear me?
Daniel:
I can. Yes.
As you can see in the scenes behind me...
... there is a huge number of protesters here today.
All angry and all wearing surgical masks: partly from solidarity...
... and perhaps from fear.
Joan:
We've heard talk of fighting, Daniel.
Daniel:
Yes, there have been strong words - and unwise actions.
Localized fighting, swiftly dealt with by police officers.
All quiet right now though, aside from the loud, angry chants.
It's a crowd on a knife-edge.
Joan:
Thank you Daniel.
Daniel:
JESUS!
Joan:
What, what's happening?
Daniel:
Someone just threw a firebomb. Someone in the crowd..
Static:

Judge Matt Hass - on Triple-N!
The voice of reason!
Judge Matt Hass:
The more I think, the more I realise - we need to thank them.
We need to thank the US Army.
Whatever this is, it isn't fun. It could've spread.
Right now, you could be sick.
Your kids could be sick.
They were ready for their duty. They got involved.
They rolled out from their bases, and they protected America.
They did it fast, and they did it effectively.
They did it in one of the most militarily senstive areas in America.
God bless them.
There is an illness in there, and it is contained.
Yes, a lot of people are hurting.
Yes, it's unfortunate that familes have been divided.
People kept from their homes? That's never good.
But this is swift, decisive action.
A threat is being dealt with.
That illness in the Exclusion Zone? It's trapped.
The Army is biding its time. Making sure we stay safe.
Have faith America.
Faith will let us grow.
Y'know, I understand the pain.
I'm not just some big-shot big mouth on the TV.
I'm worried too. I'm worried as hell.
I believe in our ability to deal with the Knox Event...
... but there are unknowns. Unknowns make me nervous.
But nervous enough to break into a store and take a VCR?
Nervous enough to distract our forces and emergency services?
That's not even real to me. Not even real.
Be scared, sure.
Just don't let that fear turn to crazy.
We're in this together.
I've been hearing a load of phooey about 'the end-times'.
The Event, the riots, the communications black-out...
I'm asking you now, what changed?
What's changed in past few days, aside from panic?
Look at our police force, look at our doctors and nurses.
Follow their example.
Here's a word you might not know - 'Stoicism'.
It's Greek. Means you get on with it.
It means you trust in people to get things done.

Joan:
This is Triple-N.
A night of chaos. The night our cities exploded with anger.
In Washington: protests turn ugly. Battle lines form in the street.
In Los Angeles: arson, looting and public disorder.
This morning: the President responds.
President:
I understand the frustration. I can hear you: loud and clear.
I understand the frustration because I'm like you.
I want to know when my fellow Americans...
...fellow Americans who are laid low with sickness...
... can be returned to their families.
To this end I will be talking to the General and the CDC today.
I will be able to provide more answers...
However.
The horrifying activities we have seen on our streets over the last 24 hours?
There is no excuse. No excuse whatsoever.
Arrests will be made. Every authority is on high alert.
If you are seeking to disrupt our way of life through fear and scaremongering...
...you will be sorely disappointed.
I will come back to you with more information...
... FULL information...
... when I have it in my hand.
Joan:
The President's words, just moments ago.
Meanwhile, international leaders have been quick to condemn America.
The UK premier has criticised the President's 'near complete lack of clarity'.
While international health body the WHO...
... will be making a statement later today.
We'll have it covered here...

Good morning. This is Triple-N.
We're here with breaking news.
US Forces have repeated warnings to those on the edge of the Exclusion Zone.
Owing to the threat of the spread of the Knox Event...
...forced dispersal is now an option.
The President has asked for patience and calm...
...amidst a storm of protest from Republican Senators.
President:
I understand the frustration. I can hear you: loud and clear.
I understand the frustration because I'm like you.
I want to know when my fellow Americans...
...fellow Americans who are laid low with sickness...
... can be returned to their families.
To this end I will be talking to the General today.
From which I will be able to provide more answers.
Joan:
Now, a report from Kirsty Cormick on the Event line.
Kirsty:
Here in Kentucky, in the camps just outside the Exclusion Zone...
... rumormongering and anger are rife.
Officially released photographs from inside the Zone...
... have failed to calm the folks here.
The presence of the military, however, has kept the peace.
Still though, rumors of the degenerative nature of the Knox Event will NOT go away.
Joan:
Thank you Kirsty.
Panic-buying and looting have continued to escalate.
These images show today's running battle between masked youths...
... and law enforcement officials in Memphis.

As panic reaches endemic levels, public flights have been grounded...
... at the demand of the World Health Organisation.
As these pictures show, the Army has been mobilised and is rolling into major cities...
...for fear of further demonstrations and civil unrest.
The State Department has underlined that the Knox Event is contained.
They state that the need for panic is over...
... and are considering the nationwide implementation of a curfew.
The President has made the following statement:
President:
After talks with the General I am satisfied that...
The Knox Event is, to all intents of purpose, contained.
However.
Tests on those recovering from the Knox sickness are inconclusive.
We have labs set up inside the Zone now.
I assure the American people that every dollar I have at my disposal...
...will go toward their healing and rehabilitation.
However, I repeat: the Knox Event IS contained.
Procedures are underway to ensure our safety.
That will be all.

Judge Matt Hass:
Just stop it people! Stop this insanity.
You think setting the world alight's gonna give you an answer?
If you want to stockpile food?
Fine: it's your right.
You want to buy guns?
I'm sitting on an ammo dump here.
You want to open fire on officials on a New York street?
Get the hell out of my country.
I feel for the people trapped within the Event boundary.
Who couldn't?
As for the rumors of fatalities as they try to escape...
It breaks my heart, just as it does yours.
I feel sorry for all involved.
The poor souls inside...
...and the guys pulling the trigger.
Does securing the safety of America, and the World, justify all this?
I think so. I hope so.
Only God knows.
He will judge us correctly.

This is Triple-N.
Throughout the night panic has turned to chaos.
Civil disturbance in: New York, Miami, Detroit and downtown LA.
Our reporter Mark Spedding is in New York.
Mark Spedding:
An angry crowd at City Hall. A wall of police officers.
Then: an attempted dispersal of protesters, leading to reported fatalities.
The NYPD are using water cannons, but NNN can also reveal we've seen...
... military servicemen within police ranks.
Could this show the rumors of a curfew are coming true?
This feels like an endgame, Joan.
Back to the studio.
Joan:
Thank you Mark. Stay safe out there.
Now we turn to the Knox Event itself.
Yesterday saw the Exclusion Zone radius widened.
Camps of refugees and bystanders have been removed.
Some forcibly.

John:
Good morning, we're coming to you directly from the White House briefing room.
This is Triple-N.
The President has just announced a curfew in New York, Miami and LA with more to follow.
Reports are coming in of military convoys moving from bases and into the heart of major cities.
This is the President's statement in full:
President:
It is time to face facts. It is time to settle down.
We only ask for your responsible actions as an American citizen.
I, personally, take responsibility for the perceived lack of communication.
And for the rumormongering that has grown around the so-called 'Knox Event'.
At this time we have no reason to believe residents of Kentucky will not recover.
However, as the picture clears, and more information is made available...
... its likelihood is starting to recede.
We have been hesitant to discuss specifics, yes, but with reason.
The Knox Event IS contained, but its panic and confusion are not.
We wanted to establish facts, but public alarm has not provided enough time.
From 6pm tonight there will be curfews in some of our biggest cities.
This is for your protection. Please do not leave your house.
Please have faith in both our military and our emergency services.
I ask our journalistic community to report responsibly.
We are examining all potentialities.
I will update you whenever we have new information.

The voice of reason!
Judge Matt Hass:
Yes, I saw the pictures. We got the fax.
Horrifying pictures handed to Triple-N reveal brutality inside the Exclusion Zone
We can't show the image, but at least one person suffering from the infection...
... has attacked another. Viciously.
Orally.
While sustaining terrible wounds himself.
We at Triple-N stand here thinking the same as you.
Why weren't we told?
I thought it might be doctored.
Then a guy brought us a copy of the original.
What you're seeing is an... edited version.
So what do I think?
Horrified, and sad.
Sad we weren't told.
Sad that this happened to good people.
We should have been told this was happening.
One fact remains: this Event was stopped in its tracks.
You may not agree with the Army's decisions...
... but their actions speak for themselves.

Survivors released from a military camp INSIDE the zone have made it through...
...the barriers behind me. Crossing the border several miles from here.
Their story is one of horror.
The Knox Infection's final stage is one of violence.
Sufferers attack friends.
Sufferers attack family.
These recently released survivors aside: the infection rate is total.
I just recorded an interview with Pauline Simpson who has come from inside the zone.
You heard me right, she came from the INSIDE.
Pauline:
We were on the road out when the fever hit.
Soldiers took us into their base.
There was a lot of us.
We were in dormitories. Cells. Anywhere they got lock us in.
They said it was a quarantine.
They took my Chris for tests, but he came back okay.
Some people didn't come back from the tests.
I guess they got it.
Kirsty:
Got what Pauline?
Pauline:
It's like a plague.
It kills you, but you're not gone.
Kirsty:
Well, you're safe now.
Pauline:
They can't stop it.
They say it's contained, but you can't stop death.
We've got it coming to us.
It's been coming for a long time.
Kirsty:
Okay. Back to the studio.

This is Triple-N.
With official channels silent, we have collated key information.
The Knox Event infection is spread through direct contact with sufferers.
At one point it was spread more easily, we don't know how.
Now, however transmission is possible.
The Knox Event infection has a variable incubation period.
After incubation the loss of rational thought is seemingly inevitable.
Sufferers will attack each other, and non-sufferers.
There is no known cure.
We are expecting an official statement on these revelations imminently.
We would like to thank Kirsty Cormick on the ground in Kentucky...
... for this information.
We know you're all inside watching this but...
... we have been asked to remind you of the 6pm curfew.
This has been widened to: Chicago, San Diego and Baltimore.
Information on this can be found on your local news channel.

First and foremost: we are safe.
America is safe.
Today we can confirm that, yes, the nature of the Knox Event is degenerative.
It causes panic and confusion among sufferers
Some of whom will then perform acts that are... un-American.
The initial period of contagion is over.
There is absolutely NO need for further panic.
Panic... engendered by irresponsible and unofficial reporting.
Sufferers are NOT deceased.
We ARE establishing the likelihood of discovering a cure.
At this stage the infection is passed only through DIRECT fluid contact.
This means bites. This means scratches.
My thoughts are with those poor souls behind the Event line.
But this is contained.
It has always been contained.
We are safe.

We've got live pictures from inside the event line
Kirsty? Are you there?
Kirsty:
I am John. I can't say how, but we've been allowed access.
We're through the Event line. This is an exclusive.
Once upon a time people pumped gas here.
Now it's eerie. It's quiet. It's desolate.
And we're not alone.
Just around this corner is a woman. A woman who used to work here.
Her mind's a blank, and she's angry...
... but her leg is injured, so we're safe. She's stationary.

Amidst images of violence on the Knox Event border...
... and another night with the streets of our cities ablaze.
The President has demanded calm.
President:
Fellow Americans.
We must have peace.
Please: tonight, stay in your homes.
Mistakes have been made, I know.
But at this point the Knox Event is contained.
The world is watching us.
We don't have to panic.

Breaking news.
This is Triple-N with a shocking development.
You're watching yesterday's pictures from the...
... military and evacuee camp of the Exclusion Zone border.
A huge crowd emerges from INSIDE the Event Zone...
... attacking evacuees and military representatives alike.
Triple-N has heard reports of other mass population movements...
...elsewhere in the Zone.
We're trying to get in contact with our correspondent on the ground but...
... Oh God. Are you seeing this?
This can't be real.
If you're just tuning in, prior to these...
... horrendous scenes...
... there was conflict between US Military officials and civilian parties.
There was gunfire and, we believe, explosions.
Now, a huge wave of infected has...
There's just so many of them!
The Knox Event boundary has been broken!
We'll have reports throughout the day.
... on Triple-N.
Jesus.

I'm on late today. This isn't my usual slot.
For a good reason.
If you haven't seen it...
... several hours ago a wave of 'changed' people surged over the Event line.
An enemy from within.
We don't know the death toll just yet.
Only that it's high.
Those boys didn't sign up for this y'know.
No-one did.
My world's falling apart.
Watch this on the VT... those people aren't human.
There's an image in amongst it all.
A young girl calling for help, dragged from a car.
Just yelling, and screaming.
Knowing that, whoever she was talking to...
... it was too late.
I'm sorry I can't talk any more today.

We're going straight to the Knox Event.
Kirsty, are you there?
Kirsty:
I am. There are horrific scenes here.
All reports indicate that violence and gunfire in the border camp...
... caused a surge of infected civilians that broke through the border.
We have no official numbers, but casualties are high.
John:
Has the military restored order Kirsty?
Kirsty:
That's hard to say. Those who could head North have done so.
A large number of military vehicles are moving alongside them.
The Army are pulling back.
John:
The camp has been abandoned?
Kirsty:
Yes, but...
... I'm sorry to say this but some have been left behind.
Some folk who were... bitten.
Some folk who wanted to stay and help.
It's a desperate scene here in Kentucky.
John:
Desperate indeed. Thank you Kirsty.

The Knox Event infection is spreading.
It's spreading fast, and it's spreading without fluid contact.
It came out with the infected over the Event line.
It's chaos here.
People are heading North to Louisville, but it's gridlock.
People are hungry, people are fighting.
And now they're falling ill:
Interviewee:
My father... he's not bitten.
He hasn't even seen one of those things.
But now he's laid low with fever.
I know what it is. I saw my wife with the same thing.
He's going to change.
Can we come in your news van?
When they find out they'll... you've seen what they're doing?
The others? They'll kill him!
He can't die! He can't die!

Judge Matt Hass:
We've had word from our reporter on the ground in Kentucky.
It's spreading without bites.
Get away from your television NOW.
Lock the door. Get into the basement.
No one knows how it's happening, but it is.
Keep away from people, animals... everything.
Purify water. Turn off electrics. Hide.
It could be coming from anything, anywhere and anyone.
Go get your guns people.
Disassemble them. Clean them, then reassemble.
Lock them. Load them. Keep 'em that way.
The founders of this beautiful nation gave us a right to bear arms.
Liberals have tried to take that right away for years.
I've sat behind this desk so many times, explaining the obvious.
Well, who's glad they've been at the range now - huh?
Protect yourself, and you protect our future.
This is it. We're ready.
God bless.
Good luck.

Bringing you the facts you need to know, as the Knox Event widens.
The Knox Infection is spreading throughout Kentucky, and further North.
Huge numbers of civilians are laid low by sickness.
Infected bodies have begun to rise.
These pictures show an infected attack on the outskirts of Louisville.
Isolated reports suggest that the infected are, scientifically, deceased.
A statement from the office of the President reads as follows.
Stay in your homes. Avoid public places.'
Emergency teams are en route.'
Mass movement on major roads will delay help being sent'.
The curfew will remain in place'
Meanwhile efforts are being made to curtail inter-state movement.
Key bridges and river crossings are being blocked.
We'll update you throughout the day...

Bringing you the facts you need to know, as the Knox Event widens.
We're here with vital news.
As the Knox Infection spreads, so do the scenes of horror.
After twenty four hours the spread of flu-like symptoms has accelerated.
There are suspected cases throughout surrounding states.
However, there are individuals who are NOT immediately endangered.
We have obtained this audio recording from Kirsty Cormick.
Kirsty:
I'm hoping you guys get this.
Duke, my camera guy - he's got the fever.
Everyone's got it here.
I don't know why.
Maybe it was just dormant, maybe we had it all along...
But everywhere I look I see dead and dying people.
Left on the street. Lying in doorways.
But I'm okay.
I need you to tell people that...
... I think some people are immune.
Some lucky people.
Oh God, I've got to go.
They've seen me.
They've seen me.

I'm afraid we come with bad news. Worse news.
As scenes of horror unravel at home, shocking news from overseas.
Symptoms similar to those of the Knox Event have been reported in the United Kingdom...
... and in Somalia, Africa.
These pictures clearly show Knox Event infections...
...in Norfolk, England and at an unknown location within the Somalian capital Mogadishu.
I'm so sorry.
We have anecdotal evidence that a very small minority...
...of people may be immune.
Wherever you are though, please take care.
Take care of your loved ones, find food and hide.
Please don't fight.

Murder on automatic.
